Exactly. You pay for a card slot. You pay for a card. No card=no playback. Not sure that should be the ultimate solution. If Wyze engineers had a one size fits all solution, they would let us know, I hope.
Exactly. The sd card is not involved. In fact, you can just do playback to view the event. More work, yes, but if you must see the event, that’s the way. Put those sd cards in the cams.

Yeah. I think they want to limit your videos to 5 minutes so they don’t have to pay for more aws bandwidth themselves. I pay for storage in the cloud via another service. I could store a couple of terabytes if I need. But Wyze insists on selling you storage and then caps it. There should be a tier arrangement.
Yup me to. Reset them this morning, started to work again and less than 12 hours later same error codes coming up with no videos to see. Disappointing to pay a company that takes your money with no responses or resolutions to a known problem.

The problem is not at my end - it’s them.
In the last 90 minutes I’ve been notified of motion; it was shrubs moving in the wind. Twice.
20 minutes ago I went out the door and came back. It recorded the event, but didn’t notify me.
How am I supposed to know I’m at the door if it won’t tell me?
Don’t waste your time with the reset. After less than 12 hours the problem is back on all 4 cams again.
Well folks, Wyze definitely has AI and storage retrieval issues. They better get in front of this before their entire installed base is destroyed. They surveyed me today. Asked if I would recommend them to friends. I responded no. Maybe it will get their attention. For now, I am done buying their stuff or recommending it. Don’t know what else to do. Their PLUS service is terrible. I get indications of persons when only cats. I get motion indicators when there are persons. Don’t even ask about vehicle or pet detections. And up until now, I have gone through the thousands of notifications I receive every 24 hours to feedback erroneous detections. I think they need to roll it back for a time until they get control of their company. I have 22 active cams of all types. 15 are on PLUS. I’m not a happy camper. Restarting, soft reboots, hard reboots, sd cards in/out, etc, etc etc are useless. And I have increased my Comcast pipe 4x, purchased all new high bandwidth equipment, and upgraded my phone. Lots of cash. I will tell anyone who wants to listen, it is their problem to resolve. They are the ones who need more bandwidth and better AI software. Come on Wyze, time to stick a crowbar in your wallet and fix it. You can’t sell a sinking ship or take it public. This company ir run by Asians. No disrespect or racism intended. As a culture, they are cheap. That’s fine where it matters. But this is no place to be cheap. The company is experiencing serious growing pains. I suggest that the entire team step up and earn those stock options. No one should go home until these issues are resolved, and that includes the finance people and their backers. I’m ready to start a Wyze revolution to force the current CEO out. The company is still privately held by the venture capitalists. Someone on Sand Hill Road is invested here. I’m going to look for them.

I’m with you on this. They’re not getting any more of my money. Their cams have never worked properly when it comes to AI and notifications. It’s hit-miss.

It’s all problems with their servers and storage. They are completely unprepared with the amount of products they are selling. They push cam plus like you HAVE to have it, when in reality that is the biggest issue. Yeah 12 second videos suck but at least I can see who triggered the sensor.

Thanks for this post. I have 7 of v2 cam plus. I removed all 7 from active, waited about 5 min, then rebooted all the cams, then added them back in. So far that let me see recorded video for now. I will report back if it stays. All cams were updated to latest firmware already.
Good luck. I wish this was as simple as a firmware update. Unfortunately it is an issue Wyze is having on their side. They neglected to understand what would happen if they oversold. I warned them last year that they were attempting to launch too many products in too short of a time. They did not have the bandwidth as a company to do what they did. Their CEO was too aggressive. He was good at raising vc money. Those people are like loan sharks. Once you get the money, the clock starts ticking. Wyze could not ramp their head count for 2 reasons in my opinion. One was lack of available talent either because there was none or because the pay scale was not right. Two was because the CEO made decisions that allocated funding into product development. Shortcuts in testing are obvious. Product launches were fast and furious. But this guy made promises to the investors he simply could not keep. But he did buy a good whip because he has beat his people to death while creating this mess. And one of the biggest failures this man made was hiring a quality support staff. The entire company needs to be restructured. The products themselves function. The infrastructure to make them feature rich has failed miserably. When you try to copy the concepts of products that are already on the market, then time to market is critical. Product development is a triangle. The three angles represent budget, time, and quality. If you want a product faster, you have to give up one of the other angles. If you want to shrink the budget, give up something else. I seriously doubt that the Wyze CEO grasps this simple concept. So, here we all are. Huge installed base, mostly cameras, poor production pipeline, poor support and poor forward planning. There are 2 things that will kill a company. One is not enough sales, the other is too many sales. Where does the Wyze community think the company is at this point in time? I would love to hear from Wyze themselves.

I can only hope someone in WYZE upper management reads -and comprehends - this.
oh wow… Yeah, I hope the fix stays… so far it has been working but can only view the video from after the reboot. If i go back to video around the time of the error 06 code it cannot pull those older feeds.
Since you think you are a business genius, think Asian people are “Cheap” and don’t like things made in China you’d better take half the parts off your car, and throw away at least 60% of the electronics in your house while you are at it. Yes I have posted about many issues I have had with WYZE but if you get on the phone and talk to them in a civil manner you might get better results, I did. 1-844-999-3226.

Well sir, I never said the quality of the parts were compromised, so please do not assume that. I have worked for people of many cultures in my 50 year career in industry. I have simply stated my observations here and I know that there are people whose very cultures create an atmosphere of pinching pennies. I don’t disagree with spending cautiously, but it is important to know the places to spend and the places to hold back. Wyze has either held back spending in the wrong places or never had the capital to spend in the first place which would make it a simple matter of over reach. No disrespect intended to the hard working cultures of the far east or their technical abilities. I simply believe some poor decisions were made. It is always easy to quarterback the game after it’s over though too. Could I have done better? Who knows.
I have the same issues with mine. I WYZE Representative told me it’s my internet connection which is a bunch of bs because I’ve reset my router several times & I’ve contacted my internet provider & they said there’s nothing wrong with my upload or download speeds or the connection itself. Any video that my cameras record that are 10 seconds or less all give me the error (code 06) “failed to fetch video from cloud” too & needless to say those seconds could be critical seconds missed God forbid something Bad as happened & you need to have record of it & to be able to show the authorities.
