I have three V3 cams that worked fine for months. Now two have lost connection. When I reset and attempt to reconnect I get an error, “Can’t identify specific network.” What can I do to get these cams operating again?
Be specific. Where or what are you trying when you get that message?
I had this same problem weeks ago !!! So frustrating
This is what happened in my situation . My mom changed her wifi router . And when I tried connecting her cameras to her new network it said what you’re getting “can’t specify network connection”
Make sure you’re connecting to the 2.4 GHZ network
What happened in my case was the ISP messed up the channels and made both the 2.4 and 5 GHZ channel in one so when I tried to connect her cameras to the network it couldn’t differentiate the channel speeds so it would get lost .
Can you check your wifi connections, usually xfinity will add 2.4 and 5 ghz in the channel name to specify the channel speeds
Also note: the SSID is case sensitive. So when you set the SSID and don’t match the case, nothing will connect either. At least on some routers
The SSID and password were the same but yea it can happen
