Seems like every time there is a recorded video I want to save the download always fails. I have a strong home WiFi connection with fast internet, so that isn’t the problem. This issue happens way too often, so the issue is more likely with the Wzye servers! And no I don’t have memory cards installed in my cameras because what I want to save is on outside cameras and if they stolen, then the recordings would go with them. Is there anyway to get these recordings to download?!
I download cloud event videos everyday from V3, V3 Pro and V4 cams. iOS app 3.7.5 (4). I haven’t updated to the new app today 3.7.6 (2).
I think I read that downloading cloud clips involves a re-encoding step. That probably contributes to the problem. What I do instead is to use a 3rd party utility to download direct from WebView.
Well, today I have several more videos that wouldn’t download that I really wanted. And, I have several videos that won’t play back without freezing. What the heck Wyze? Fix your software! Releasing new cameras doesn’t make things better when the software is so buggy.
This happened yet again and every time there is a recording I need to save. Wyze fix your software! And I shouldn’t have to put a memory card in the camera, because if this outside camera is stolen and I can’t get the recording from the cloud, then I have nothing.
For a week now every single recording I tried to download has failed. What heck is going on Wyze? Fix your software!
It’s a PITA. Lately, I have had to play my clip and capture it using a screen record utility. That doesn’t help with the 8-10 second freeze in the video. ![]()

I am having this issue as well with my pan cam. And it’s only that camera, my husband has a Samsung and is able to save anything. I have an iPhone 14 with the latest software update. All my cameras are up-to-date, but for whatever reason this one camera, I am not able to save any videos from. I do not have an SD card nor do I feel like I should get one when I pay for the cam plus yearly subscription. I also noticed with my phone only, the audio does not match up with what is being recorded, and there seems to be skipping going on during the recording
I’ve been getting a lot of skipping as well. So is a friend of mine with his Wyze cameras. Instead of fixing their software issues, Wyze would rather release new products, which then have their own issues because of the software.
The same SAVE FAILED happens to me regularly. My real question is, do Wyze employees actually monitor these complaints and resolve them? A company’s reliance on AI to solve people’s problems only creates bad will among consumers. You can only make so much profit off hardware if nobody trusts your software and subscriptions.
Same issue here with not being able to download. Would really appreciate WYZE troubleshooting this issue or at least let everyone know they are working on it. We can’t all be having this issue without it being their software. I also use Ring so thinking I may have to trash the Wyze cameras and go to Ring. My moms health is at risk and being able to have reliable monitoring equipment for falls or health related issues is essential.
Events from the Cloud Fails to Download
This has been an ongoing issue for a while now where when I try to save a recorded event it fails. This is getting ridiculous! There is nothing wrong with my home WiFi. It’s an outside V3 camera and doesn’t have an SD card in it. I don’t want one in it, because if the camera is stolen I’ve lost everything anyway. It never had issues saving events until and app update a while back. Contacting Wyze about it is pointless as they just want me to do the same things I’ve already done over and over before. Someone at Wyze needs to look into this issue!

I have the same issue … Sucks big time!! Had to screen record what I wanted last time. Now it allowed me to save the first video I wanted but then failed on the second one ![]()
I’ve thought about switching to Ring as well for certain cameras in the house. They’re just so expensive for the amount of cameras that I currently have. Maybe over time we should just replace them. Wyze worked great a few years ago especially for my sons room but now they’ve gone downhill in my opinion and not recording everything
I have to screen record as well. It’s just weird it’s one camera that’s won’t download. But every camera I have an issue where the sound is off and the video skips
