Overnight, something changed in either the Wyze app or the Alexa app, and I can’t seem to figure out where or what changed.
Is anybody else now receiving audible “someone detected at door” AND “person detected at door” notifications ??? They’re going off back to back. I’ve never heard “someone detected at door “ before, and have had this setting on for over 5 years now. It’s maddening !!!
Not exactly like your problem. I have three different manufacturers of cameras mounted outside. Two manufacturer models are visible to “visitors”. A third is not, - well hidden. I’ve not been fast enough to find which of the three flavors has been announcing the arrival of the mailman and Amazon delivery. But something is announcing to more than one of my 12+ Echoes, “Some One Has Arrived” And I never programmed that phrase into my camera scenes or Alexa routines. I had to turn off all AI facial recognition, motion detection of human, pets, cars, and P&T until it stops on its own. I’m not doing it.
Did this just start happening? I have never heard “someone detected” ever in the past 5 years, until today. This is why I’m thinking something somewhere on the Alexa side maybe has changed…but these settings are so convoluted and half assed, it’s impossible to know where the issue is
Is this maybe an Alexa+ thing? I haven’t yet tried that, and I’m not hearing duplicate announcements. I recall hearing a single announcement earlier today from an Echo Pop as a result of a person being detected by a Battery Video Doorbell, but I haven’t yet specifically tested this with Cam v4 (how this topic is tagged), and I don’t recall the exact phrasing of the announcement.
