On my second SD card for my V2 doorbell. I formatted both cards when I first inserted them and after a few weeks it is now saying that it needs to be formatted again. This has happened now on 2 different SD cards of various sizes and brands. When I try to re-format them it says “unsupported microSD” and “Format failed”. My guess is this… there is an issue when the card fills all up and it needs to write over older video but I can be wrong.
I’m having the same issue. It’s a new SD card from Wyze, and sometimes it won’t even record.
I was hoping things would have changed since launch. I was a very early adopter of the the new version (V2) and I was literally wanting to try a new sd card these days since it has been a moment. Initially I ruined 2 SD cards and gave up. I was hoping for an software upgrade etc.
How did/could you ruin a sd card? These are fairly passive devices.
Both cards got corrupt after a few days of use. I formatted both cards. Both brand new and after words I got errors and unable to reformat them. Even the computer couldn’t read the card.
Wow. Amazing. Never thought an SD card can be damaged so easily. It’s sealed and there are no moving parts. Maybe they got zapped.
Thanks for responding.
