My Wyze doorbell pro has been offline since yesterday. Have many wyze cameras, many which are further away from
Router. This is the only one that’s offline.
Is it hardwired or battery powered? Does it appear to have power and just not able to connect, or is it dead?
Need more info here, but if it has power try rebooting it. If not check your breakers, transformer, battery, etc.
Hi @hanh59nguyen and welcome to the Wyze Community Forum.
My Wyze doorbell pro stopped communicating 12/16/2024. I reinstalled and put the doorbell within a foot of the chime, still said weak signal, move closer!
Looking at the router firewall log, found the doorbell attempting to communicate using port UDP: 8000 [Internet radio streams]. Don’t know why it changed. . .
Try allowing that port to your router or reduce the router’s firewall strength, see if that works.
The signal strength refers to the Wi-Fi connection used for video and audio transmission, not the simple trigger signal for the chime. A weak Wi-Fi signal results in poor video and audio quality because these require more bandwidth. The doorbell’s chime operates with a basic signal that doesn’t carry complex data, so it can function even with weaker connections.
I’m just telling you what I know. The doorbell would work, just no video.
My router is 15 feet (line of sight, no walls) from the chime.
I can pick up reliable WiFi couple houses down the street.
Opening the port worked for me, this is not an isolated condition.
