Doorbell goes offline in Arizona summer heat

I had issues with another problem and got some help here so I thought I would try again with a new ongoing issue. I live in Arizona and as you all know it gets quite hot in the summer. There used to be a large tree giving shade to the front of my house and doorbell. Now my doorbell is in the direct sunlight in the afternoon hours. My front door faces west so its gets afternoon sun. During the intense summer heat, my Doorbell camera will go offline for a few hours and comes back online when it cools. Sometimes it never comes back online and I need to reset and add the doorbell again. Has anyone run into a problem like this? I’m in need of some ideas to shade the camera from the sun. I have looked online and seen little shades for doorbell cameras but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Please help.

I haven’t had this particular problem (I’m using a Video Doorbell v2 on a covered porch beside a door facing north), but in your situation I think I’d look for a way to provide shade, so I suspect you’ve been on the right track with your searches. I also like DIY stuff and learned some things about 3D printing over the past year so I could fabricate an angled mount for my doorbell, so I’d probably seek out some sort of solution like that so I could customize it for my needs.
