Door sensors do not update status

Door contacts do not update status. Last connection was a week ago. LEDs on contacts blink when the door is closed but the app does not show a change in status. Tech support was not helpful. I’ve submitted multiple tickets and logs on this issue with no response.

Is there anybody out there?

Have you tried replacing the battery? I have found that if the battery is weak the LED will still flash and the Battery will still say Normal.

Replaced the battery in one of the sensors. No change. Deleted the sensor and tried to connect to it with the new battery. No change.

Were you able to re-pair it with the hub? Did it install correctly?

No. The Hub does not see the sensor that has replaced battery at all. I tried to go through the pairing of this contact. The door contact does not pair or update status.

I am experiencing the same thing. The light flashes on the sensor, the hub makes a noise when opening, but the app does not update.

Hub says sensors are connected, but v2 sensors no longer reporting status closed or open since 4/15/24. Replaced batteries, no go. Tried to reset sensors, blinked 3 times, but timed out when tried to re add them after deleting them from the app in order to re add them, no go… Tired to reset the hub, no go. Tried to remove the ethernet and try via my strong very stable wifi, no go. Reported to support and they did not read my attempt, suggested the same things i just said i already tried, then offered $20 gift card and no other replacement options or actual support. I then asked if i could review the product as it was under a year old and not working, and they gave me the forum link and said this is where they lost me as a customer…

Hi Michael,

I have read here that you want to leave a review with regard to the product itself. You are still speaking with Zarah from the Wyze Services Team. I do apologize but the only way you could leave a review is through our forums.

I would like to let you know this is the only link we can provide. This interaction will now be closed as we are unable to offer any further information.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach back out by replying directly to this email and we’d be happy to assist you further.

Thanks for being a part of Wyze!

I had the exact same issue on the same day as you! I ended up removing all sensors and hub from my account and re-adding. A few times it’s failed but eventually it came back and I was able to add. Good luck!

So update, this was not suggested by “Wyze Wizards” but myself… Maybe I should become a “Wyze Wizard” as a side gig since they are a joke.

  1. Anyways take power/ethernet cables off of hub.
  2. Let it drain the entire battery down so it turns off.
  3. Delete the product off your wyze app.
  4. Then just put the power plug back in, and hold for 10 seconds till it factory resets and starts to pair.
  5. Add it back to your wyze app.
  6. Manually re add all the sensors to the app via your newly added hub.

Sucks but it works again, for now.

I never noticed this was happening until I decided to figure out why Alexa stopped reporting when a door opened. I let it slide since I was still getting the chime from the hub. When I looked, I too stopped receiving notifications on 4/15. The reset instructions provided worked. Thank you
