Sort of, they are piloting a program that will tell you when one of your devices stops connecting to the network. So if you lose power, then the device also stops connecting to the network and it would notify you that the device is no longer connected.

However, as I said this is a pilot program. You have to go into the account settings and manually turn it on for every device that you want it to do it for. In my experience, it only works for a couple of camera models and it’s not always very reliable at the moment. But it is something they are working on.

Check this out to see if it meets your needs.

I have Cam v2s and v3s, bulbs and plugs and I have a global toggle here:

Account → Notifications → Push Notifications → Device Connectivity Notifications

Android app v3.7.8 (702)

I was talking about the section below that though. There is a section called “Devices” that you have to select enable or disable for. I had generally assumed that you must check each device as “Enable” or you won’t get a notifcation about that device.

That section is probably just about turning on or off push notifications in general, but I suspect you need to make sure they are all checked in order to the get the connectivity notifications too. I could be wrong, but that’s what I was thinking of when I said that.

From the specifics on the product:

Important Note: one requirement for the Power Failure Alert deployment is that a WiFi network is available when A/C power outlet being monitored loses power. A good example is a UPS backed WiFi router which Power Failure Alert uses to access MySpool cloud servers.

Cool, thanks! Haven’t done much testing, and seems to be only cams at the moment (tried a plug and no effect.)

This product will notify you even if the network/wifi is down:
