The new cameras are all new from the ground up,we replaced all of our old V2,V3 with V3-Pro,V3-P.T.Z. AND WE AD
Well first of all the new OG camera series is an new build from the ground up,we replaced our old V2,V3 with V3-Pro V3-P.T.Z. and added 17 of the new O.G. series, our guys just love the easiest Wyze device that that they have program up,…We left 2 of the new O.G. all standard,and the guys dont like it due to cant use any advanced service like the others that we have on Cam + unlimited…which is great since now we have over 88 cams at 12 sites.Our guys looked around the market at other vendors have to offer and Wyze has the cheapest camera,extended features than and of the other vendors have.The camera market is changing so you must buy extended services…well thats it for now…i bless everyone for a safe weekend.
I had the original V3 cam and I decided to get the V3 Cam OG and got the cam plus and moved the original V3 in my garage which had the Cam Plus Lite. I looked at the event when I was in the garage and it suddenly won’t let me look at any event. I had planned on putting it back up on the outside of my garage where I had put the new OG. So I originally had the Plus lite on that cam and it worked that way when I put it inside my garage and now it doesn’t so Wyze took that off my cam.
I got Cam Plus with my new OG, but my V2s and V3s are still on Cam Plus Lite. Are you assigning them to Cam Plus Lite under Account > Services > Cam Plus Lite > Add Cameras?
This is me too. I knew I wouldn’t get person detection without paying but I thought the 12 sec event videos were a standard service. I’ve had wyze devices for about 6 years now. Their customer service has gone down and down. It is terrible that they’ve taken away the basic capability that makes these cameras have a purpose.
I would be ok with their subscription service if I didn’t have to pay per camera. How about $20 a year for the first 5 cameras? Then extra after that?

I agree, I just got a OG as well and also my last V3 I bought , I can’t do anything with them because I don’t have cam+ , snapshots are kinda useless … I have 4 cams 3-V3 and one OG , 2 of them have cam + and are great the other 2 I didn’t feel the need for cam+ and don’t even get 12s video , I’m not happy about that what so ever
Just got the OG cam for the great picture and spotlight to replace an older WyzeCam outdoors. Very disappointed so far from a loyal Wyze fan. First delivery was an empty envelope with a hole on the back. WTF delivery driver?!?! Why? But I can ignore that since it’s not Wyze’s fault. Customer Service was nice enough to send a replacement quickly. Upon opening, I realized the OG cam has no magnetic base! Very surprised and disappointed! The magnetic base was one of Wyze’s signature features! My fault for not scrutinizing the item description before buying, I guess. Still, pretty disappointed now. Finally I go to install it, and one of the pins inside the micro-USB connector is broken. Just spent a bunch of time using the chat to file a warranty claim. This is ridiculous! Six cams, plugs, a doorbell, and even masks — after all these years! I’ve never had such a terrible experience with Wyze before. Crazy!
For anyone with more than 5 five cameras, Wyze Unlimited plan is amazing.
The Internet has been MONITIZED. Haven’t you noticed the new business model? Annual subscriptions force people to keep sending them money. If they built the cost of Cam Plus into the purchase of the camera, they only take money out of your pocket once. With subscriptions, they keep taking money out of your pocket continuously.
No different than printer manufacturers. You can buy a printer for pennies but you pay through your nose for ink/toner.
Yes I’m disappointed as well. I think what’s happening is they are advancing too fast with prod they want to sell to make money and not concentrating on customer service, etc. I have to admit the color and clarity on the OG is exceptional and the price is good but that’s about all.
I just purchased the OG as well and I am so disappointed ! The picture is awful there is tons of lag and it just stops working periodically and has to be restarted , The colors are gray and for $20 It’s not worth the hassle I know that I’ll have to go thru to send it back to them … I have 3- V3’s and they are great , I also have the air purifier and that is great as well, WYZE I am very disappointed in the path you are on , DO BETTER !!!
Sounds like you got a bad camera,what do you expect from China and mas production, we ordered 5 of each model and have all of them in service st 3 location and have no issues, 2 years ago we got a V3 thst was dead in the box,did a warranty exchange and 2 days later received the replacement so simple o well its time for dinner

I agree with Kae, you got a bad camera. My OG’s color is good but have to admit not quite as good as my V3’s but darn close. I’d contact Wyze and they will be happy to replace it for you. I’ve had several V2’s go bad back in the days before the V3’s. They replaced so many of them I told them I didn’t need it replaced I was just letting them know they got some bad cameras. I teasingly told them that WalMart said I had more cameras than they did

The technical guy @ Wize knows about the bad colors and the starlight lenses are a bit dark,and theitems that you save on the front of the OG cams i believe its called the filter it has a bug as well when you save it …it does not save so here in a few weeks new firmware will be pushed out i sure hope so we have a lot of the new OG models out at customers locations and alot more for the guys to install, o well off to bed
UPDATE: So I deleted the OG Camera from the app and took out the SD card and then reinstalled everything and It’s working as it should , I’m not sure why this happened on the initial setup but everything does seems to be working great now … The V3 has a much better picture and color though … So all is not lost … I was going to at some point buy the tele lens but now I’m thinking no , I don’t care for base of the OG , I much prefer the V3 set up , I just wanted to let everyone know that whatever went array with the initial setup is now fine …
Great on your progress,i like the V3 pro and the warehouse is sold out,i have 6 V3 pro, 3 of V3 ptz and we replaced all of ours V2 most with V3,and we have alot of battery cameras all are on solar panels,i herd there’s a new battery camera coming out soon and it will be without the base station,i really like the base due to our technicians set them all up before we deploy it out to the customers
