Device Services

The internet is working and i have another brand camera and its working well but sometime my wyze camera says device offline. Its been happening at least once a week

Sporadic connectivity loss like that is usually going to be wifi signal related. Where that cam is located probably is borderline signal strength or quality, and/or has a lot of interference.

But that’s just a guess based on the limited information.

I agree with dave27.

If you are looking for something to try, let me suggest:

Restart everything on your network. (Well might not need to restart everything, but try this.

Wyze devices have a history for not 100% reconnecting to our home network when they lose their connection.

Turn off your cable modem, your router, and if its easy to access, unplug power to your Wyze cams.

Now, turn the cable modem back on. Generally wait at least two minutes. (I watch the lights on mine, so I know its booted up).
Next, turn on, plug power back in to your router. If you have “nodes” in your mesh network,. Wait for the Main to boot, (about 2-3 minutes, then start each of the others up. After all of them are up, (because we don’t know which one your Wyze cams were connecting to…)

Turn your Wyze cams back on/plug power back in.

When you are restarting your home network, always, always turn off then start from the further-est point (Your ISP) towards the inside of your house, 1) cable modem, 2) router, 3) devices. This makes sure your cable modem gets a fresh IP assigned, passes it to the router, then the router boots up and is ready to reply to request for connections to each device. Sometimes it works without doing this, but nearly every time it works when you do this.
