“Device Offline” after Firmware Version 1.4.3.4543

I have six Wyze Battery Cam Pan Pros that I’ve been using for about six months without any issues. They have always had a strong signal and good connection. I have AT&T Fiber with a 2Gb plan, so bandwidth isn’t a problem.

Over the past week, all of the cameras have started going offline frequently. Sometimes they come back online hours later, but most of the time they stay offline. This all began after I performed a firmware update on each camera. I suspect the update may have been interrupted on some of them, which could be causing these problems.

So far, I’ve tried the following:

  • Deleted each device from the app and set them up again from scratch
  • Removed and reformatted the SD cards (FAT32) and reinserted them
  • Re-linked everything in the Wyze app

Nothing has worked. The cameras continue to show as offline most of the time. I’m out of ideas on what else to try.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would try the following - Maybe start with one camera first:

  • Format the SD Card in the camera
  • Then go to Account > App Settings and scroll down to clear cache and clear it.
  • Then Log out of the app - Make sure you have your Password and 2 Factor Authentication.
  • Restart your Phone and try again.

Log back into the app and see if the selected Camera shows up.

Also - do you have another phone or tablet to test on, maybe something with Android to see if it is an iOS App issue?

Hey thanks

I selected the only camera that currently shows as online and went through each troubleshooting step with it. I also restarted my phone and logged back into the Wyze app. Now I’m going to see how this specific camera behaves and if it stays connected.

If it works, I’ll repeat the process with the other cameras. Unfortunately, I can’t do anything with the rest of them right now because they are still offline, even though their batteries are full and the 2.4 GHz signal is strong.

I’ll also try using an Android phone to see if that makes any difference.

Appreciate it.

I have a few of these and use Android as my primary device. I also test with iOS and have not seen this issue unless either the battery is low or I move out of range from my camera
