Just tested the Wyze iOS beta app 2.34.0 (b12) and it has fixed this issue.

Any idea how much time from beta to final release on the App Store, in general?
How can I get the beta app?

Not sure how long it will be between beta and the non-beta app in the app store

Depending on what bugs are found and fixed in the beta, it can take anywhere from a week to a few weeks. If it causes big problems, it could take much longer.

If you want it now, you can enroll in the beta program and download the beta app. There may be bugs found in the app and device firmware on beta version though.
