Hi I’m new here and I didn’t know where this topic belonged so I dropped it here, since I could benefit from cam plus but I also don’t want to pay for a subscription to something that should come with the equipment I bought, or at least my son’s insurance paid for. My son is autistic and an eloper and he has a cubby bed, which uses the v3 camera for monitoring. If I’m not mistaken when he first got his cubby bed we were able to view recorded events both motion and sound activated. Why did this change? Just another paid subscription to use something you’ve already purchased. Sounds like Toyota or Kia not allowing you to use the GPS or the heated and cooled seats unless you pay for the subscription no matter if you paid for the “premium package” anyways. Anyways very annoying when things change just because someone gets money hungry. Like I didn’t even buy the camera, it came with the cubby bed but I would still like to use this camera to monitor my son. Last night I didn’t get a single notification even though he threw up multiple times in his bed, which could have been very dangerous if he aspirated. Why do I no longer get sound notifications? Why don’t the sound option stay on even when I close the app?

Maybe you had the free trial version of cam plus? Free videos went away years ago. Maybe you should spend $30.00 and get a different cam that does not require a subscription. Maybe this one, or spend $20.00 a year for Cam Plus

I wonder if what you’re experiencing is primarily related to recent changes in the UI for Cam v3:
Since you labeled your topic with a tag for Cam Plus Lite, I also wonder if you’ve been using that subscription since you got the bed. I don’t know much about that product or if they packaged any Wyze subscriptions with them or not, and I didn’t see a mention of how long you’ve had the bed and the Cam v3, but my understanding is that it has not been possible to create a new subscription to Cam Plus Lite since early 2022.
How were you doing that? Were you viewing cloud recordings from the Events tab or doing something else? If you were recording events based on nonspecific motion or sound (i.e., not “Smart Detections”) and using a microSD card in the camera, then you should still be able to view those, but the process is different for Cam v3 now because of the changes in the UI (see the linked topic above).
This may be a separate issue, and it might be helpful if you could share some details about your settings. Screenshots can be particularly useful for troubleshooting, and notification issues with Android can be tricky, because they can be controlled at the OS level and within the app.
The Cubby Bed website looks like they are listing features and showing a Wyze App from a time when Cam Plus Lite (or even when the v3 was first introduced) was available.
I love Wyze cameras for my security hobby monitoring the outside of my house. I felt a Hello Baby monitor was better for when my 15 month granddaughter sleeps at my house.
Hello baby does not need a subscription or WiFi. The camera connects directly to the included monitor.
