Connection Failures

Just recently started. I have the app installed on 2 devices, an 2018 9.7 inch iPad and an iPhone 7 both devices are running iOS 12.1.3.

The behavior sometimes occurs on both devices or just one. What happens is from the main screen I will tap on a camera and the connection attempt count will immediately start incrementing and then eventually fail suggesting I reboot the router etc.

If i force close the app and re launch it the problem goes away for awhile.

I have 4 V2 cams a 5th is due today. All the cameras are running 4.9.4.24 firmware. The app version is 2.1.16

If that doesn’t solve it, keep in mind that this is primarily a user-to-user forum. If you don’t get help here from the community, file a support ticket, preferably from within the app while the bad camera is selected. That will ensure that the logs are captured. You might want to submit the ticket right away because there’s somewhat of a backlog. You can always let them know it’s already resolved when they contact you.

Thank you for the connectivity trouble shooting guide. Please understand this is an issue with the app not actual connectivity issues. I have two iPhone 7’s one with the release version of the app and one with the beta. This only happens with the beta. The cameras are all within 25 feet of the router. It’s an 900 square foot condo so they all get great signal etc.
