Connecting 2 cameras on one power line?

Is there a usb splitter or a dual head camera cables i can get so I dont have to run multiple power lines to two cameras in the same location?

Thanks in advance

Yes lots of stuff like that available on amazon, but you need to make sure you size the power supply (wall wart) to accommodate the needs of two cams.

Wyze actually sells a “stack kit” that runs two OGs off a 1.5 amp power supply and comes with a USB-A to 2xMicro USB splitter cable, but you can also just get an adapter that will fit on the end of an existing cable. Some cams need a bit more power so I’d say to play it safe, use a 2A (2000MA) adapter for two regular cams.

I wouldn’t want to do this with two Pan cams though. They might both work off a single 3.4amp power supply (the largest you can get for standard USB and really pushing the limits) and larger than stock USB cable but I wouldn’t want to risk it. But for standard cams, two off a 2A or 3A adapter (never hurts to oversize a bit) should be fine.

Personally I didn’t like the splitter cable that came with the stack kit as there was like 2 feet of dual cables after the “Y split” and that was too much for me. So if I were going to use it (I just ended up running two flat cables stacked and you can’t tell the difference) I’d rather pick my own off amazon anyway.

Also worth mentioning, if you end up just buying a Y adapter (micro USB female to 2x micro usb male, since both the cams you tagged use micro USB) I would recommend sealing up the connection between the USB cable and splitter. They make special sealing tape for this, but I’ve just used a bit of dielectric (silicone) grease and wrapped them in white electrical tape and never had any issues in full outdoor rain exposure for 2+ years now.

Just don’t get the grease into the actual connector, you want to seal around it but not inside it.

Since you tagged your post for both Cam v3 and Cam v3 Pro, you probably want to be aware of the differences in their power requirements—or at least the differences in the power adapters supplied with each: Cam v3 ships with a 5V âŽ“ 1A adapter, and Cam v3 Pro ships with a 5V âŽ“ 2A adapter. If you’re trying to use them both with a single power supply, then maybe look for a 3A adapter as @dave27 recommends.
