Citizen Body Cams
I was thinking the other day that I would love to have a body cam when I’m walking my dog. Once, two other dogs attacked me and my dog. The owner told me that his dogs didn’t attack me. If I had had a body cam, I could have proven to him that his dogs had attacked me. I have also thought that if anything really bad happens (such as assault and/or abduction), the body cam could record the process and instantly load the actions to cloud storage. Even if an abductor destroys the camera, he/she couldn’t destroy the potential evidence that can’t be touched on a cloud. A citizen body cam would be another layer of protection for people outdoors, joggers, or anywhere/any occasion that a person might be glad for a camera to record the action. In abduction, the possible visual evidence would make it that much easier to find a perpetrator and to observe actually what happened. Also, the users of the body cams could also review their video to perhaps find some type of event or a place when they were wearing the camera. These cameras would be linked to smart phones for the cloud connection.
