I wish there was a bodycam from Wyze, can be a square, like the face of the normal Wyzecam, with rechargeable batteries, and magnet and clip.
For daily use, walking, crossing streets, biking
With your premium products I feel your company could create a great product at a low price point.
The unit can be used for elderly, public service, etc
I’ve added this submission to the wishlist. @helpdesk9999, it might be good if you could flesh this out a bit with some more details about how you envision this working, what kind of specs it would have, etc.
You guys need to develop a cost effective model for personal use and safety as there is so much lawlessness in society, too much he said, she said. You seem to have the basic technology so i can’t see it being that difficult. Please help.
This is a really great idea. It could run off your phone just like the band.
Great idea. A miniture lens or camera device that either attaches to the phone or via Bluetooth and can be worn on clothing to record what you see.
Hello,
I made a similar suggestion for a Body Cam a couple of months ago. This would also aid in the elderly with doctor visits (instructions and recap from the doctor). With the low price point Wyze has it could also be a favorite among public service, etc.
Yes would love a Wyze body cam and direct access with app. I regret buying a cheap ($50) one from Amazon and have no doubts that Wyze could do much better.
I’d prefer a discreet design as well.
Wyze should be getting into body camera (small). I would certainly buy them.
A small discrete body cam that can be worn or attached to the chest. It can record continuously overwriting old recording or on demand. Similar to a dashcam but much smaller.
A body cam that can record the hike, give you altitude, temperature readings. May include better location tracking than phone if that is possible.
The body cam can be used normally too but should be robust for hike purpose
PLEASE SEARCH Wishlist and #roadmap and read the How to Use the Wishlist BEFORE POSTING.
Make a body cam that has a souped-up mic and hopefully the same quality as the v3 or at least the v2. This would be something both cool and useful. It could be like an awesome go pro that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg and it could be used for recording stuff as the police do.
this would be a great idea, most of the tech i believe that is needed is already available in wyze products.
A 4k camera with features like on the Boblov body cams. The market is in need of better options, features and price points.
We’re still waiting
Still waiting for a wyze bodycam
Body cam, dog cam, cat cam… so many lost opportunities…
Insta360 saw the opportunity and now it’s the default camera, kicking GoPro out
A safety bike camera that can be both bike and jacket mounted to record interactions with cars
I have a suggestion. Could you design a safety camera for cyclists? It should be small, clip on to both handle bars and to a cyclist’s jacket (like a police body cam). It needs to record cars in the event of close misses and accidents. It should continually record over itself on to an SD card, but also make it easy to find footage when an event (accident or close miss) happens. It should have a 3 hour minimum battery life.
It wouldn’t be a Go Pro competitor, which is for capturing footage to keep and upload online. It is there as a security measure so that in event of an accident, which means a car hits a a bike, the injured cyclists’s rights can be protected. There is nothing affordable and reliable in this category right now. You guys could leverage your experience to really make a name in this space.
There is really only the Fly 12 camera that I know of that is specifically designed for this purpose, but it is expensive and has reliability issues.
Go Pros are too large and provide a video quality that is excessive for security purposes, which means having evidence for police and insurers. They are great, but are a bit too high end for a bike dashcam.
Garmin has taken a shot at this with the Virb camera. But like most entrants into this space, the unit is too big, doesn’t mount with a minimum of fuss, is expensive and doesn’t have enough battery life for a long ride (3-5 hours). Wyze stood out for me because of its affordability - that’s a big step in the right direction for a bike dash cam.

Personally, I like the design of Insta 360 cameras:
I live in Vancouver, Canada.
Thanks!
Its already done. Its called a Body Worn Camera or a GoPro. No need to wait.
