Chime which came with my duo cam doorbell will not connect

The wifi chime which came with my duo cam doorbell says, “ready to connect” but it does not connect. I have attempted to reset it and checked to be sure my wifi signal was strong?

What troubleshooting have you attempted? Providing additional detail here might help others to help you. This is what should be happening:

If that doesn’t start at the correct time for you, then the Wi-Fi Chime setup begins ~11:55 in the video.

In the meantime, I’d make sure your phone has Bluetooth and Location turned on and that the Wyze app has adequate permissions for both. (You’ve probably already done this while setting up the doorbell itself.) Forcing your phone onto the home’s 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (assuming you have dual-band) is often helpful with IoT device setup, too, as is moving the device close to your gateway or wireless access point (basically just plugging it into an outlet in the same room as your router).

Looks like there’s also a new β firmware that addresses Wi-Fi Chime setup issues, so I guess you’re not alone in experiencing problems with this.

I have factory reset the chime. Unplugged and plugged back in. The chime is within 6 feet of the duo cam doorbell and 15 feet of the router with 3 bars. I have attempted to install with the camer a and also as a stand alone. I have opened the app to be sure everything is up to date?

I’m not sure what this means. What additional detail can you provide? Since Wi-Fi Chime is designed to work with all Wyze Cam and doorbell models, you’d add it to your system as an independent device: From the Wyze app’s  Home screen, tap the upper-right corner ➜ Device ➜ Home ➜ Wyze Wi-Fi Chime.

Is that what you’ve attempted so far? Hopefully you can get it added and updated, since new non-β firmware was released today.

Yes, I have attermp to also install the chime as a stand alone. Thanks.

Hopefully that will help. Thanks
