Catch me up on the V3 issues

I’m trying to keep up with the forum, I’m running bats firmware (latest) on my phone and v3.
My V3’s have just stopped recording anything.
To local card or the cloud.
I can power cycle and it works for a bit then just stops again. I deleted from the app and reloaded, cleared the cam and re-added. Same issues.
Is this just what’s going on now? Are we giving up on V3’s and going to v4’s or OG’s?
I tried a 3pro but it won’t stay connected to any WiFi I try.

I have five V3 cams running the public release firmware 4.36.11.8391 and they have no issues at all. I also have a V3 PRO that has been connected since 11 November 2022 and it has never dropped off line except for power and internet outages. I did not get the new slow release V3 firmware of 18 July 2024 update yet and probably won’t load it anyway for a few weeks after it is available

I also have five V3s spread across two properties. No issues at all except a little glitch where occasionally motion events get uploaded to the cloud even though I have CamPlus Unlimited and smart detection on.

Judging by the above, I suspect something has happened to your network setup.

Make sure you’re on the latest firmware released in July. If not and you can’t update to it, ask us how to manually flash the firmware to the newest version. I know the January firmware had some issues that have since been addressed.

When you say it won’t stay connected, can you elaborate a little? For example, are you just struggling to live stream the cam? Is that only when away from home, or are you having troubles live streaming when you’re at home too? Does it ever upload Cloud events? What does the status light look like?

I can say that my cameras are pretty stable right now. I have over 50. More than a dozen of them are V3s and V3Pros.

I have about 60 of them from 1 to 4.
I popped a 4 in the same place and it’s fine. I think it’s just this one v3 now. The rest of my 3’s seem happy again.
I am going to flash the firmware via SD and see if that works.
As far as the pro, there is good wifi in that location (using a wifi analizer) and if I put another cam there it seems OK. I only have 1 pro so I’m not overly concerned, just strange.
