Cant mute the talk to the camera feature

I cant believe Wyze doesnt have an option to turn off the ability to speak through the camera?

We use the cameras for our dog daycare so people can watch their dogs when they are here. Today, one of our users has unmutted their mic and is blasting sound through the speaker in the camera.

Is there an option to see which shared user is doing this? NO.

Is there an option to disable or mute this feature? NO!

How on earth can the engineers miss this? Why cant i control the shared user access or at least diisable the mic? The sounds that were playing caused the dogs to get stressed and started the dogs fighting.

When we call for help the agent is determined to use as many words as possible to respond without answering a question. After 30 min I find out there is no way to stop this from happening.

TERRIBLE coding. HORRIFIC lack of understanding of your customer’s use and needs.

Just pathetic! My option to fix this (since Wyze let all their customerts down with the lack of mute ability for this feature) is to blindly call all the people who we have shared with to ask them to mute their feature, turn off the cameras or throw them away.

Wayze you need to do much MUCH better. This SUCKS

You’re yelling at fellow Wyze users. We didn’t design the cams.

Shared accounts are definitely lacking however they are intended for use by people you trust, not the general public/customers. If you never use the speakers, you can disassemble the cam and unplug it, but granted that isn’t a task most would want to do.

If you go into the wishlist forum, there are several related to shared user accounts, can toss your votes on those or create one of your own if this particular thing isn’t covered.

thanks Dave27. My message was for Wyze engineers and hoping a user found a solution.

Ii think all the Wyze users are very good looking, successful and powerful people!

Looks like you have Cam v3 cameras. It is relatively easy to disconnect the internal speaker.
