My fixed schedules are also not working correctly, it seems to run once and then not again, I initially thought it was because I had it set to run at Sunset. I deleted the schedule and recreated a new one set to run at a fixed time (5pm; Mon, Wed, Fri); it ran once and then never again. I’ve tried various other things; like changing the schedule, enabling/disabling offline schedule etc. with no resolve.
I have skips setup; but only once did a skip meet the criteria and I got a notification that the schedule was skipped, but since then I haven’t got any notifications for neither run nor skipped schedules.
I’ve needed to do App Quick Runs in order to keep my garden irrigated.
I upgraded to firmware version 1.0.8 when I installed the controller a couple of weeks ago, so have never run with older firware.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can try or if you can look into the logs etc.
I hope your support team and developers can find a resolve soon.
Thank you
Same issue as most people here. Installed a year ago, and it worked fine. Shut it down for the winter, and when I restarted it about a month ago the scheduling does not work AT ALL, whether smart or fixed and with all weather skip criteria eliminated. The quick run works fine, but I can’t keep going in to run the sprinklers every few days.
Submitted a support request and got a form answer that didn’t address the concerns I raised. I’m on 1.0.8. I submitted a log, ID 595323.
Schedule still does not run consistently. Randomly doesn’t run few days, then decides to run again. It ran the last 4 days, but did not run the 3 days prior to that. Very frustrating!! How can it take so long to create a fix to the firmware? Submitted a log again - # 595567
@Shanee
I’ve had to create a custom schedule because of the issues. I get a notification that zone 1 (drip system) starts on time, but never get a notification that it completes. The app also does not show that this zone completes. The other two zone (grass), they both notify start/stop, and the app shows that they complete in the “previous” section under the sprinkler. I do believe the drip system is working as none of the plants are dead and it’s already over 100 degrees in AZ, but some days I see a lot of standing water like it ran too long, and other days I don’t really see discoloration of the dirt. So, maybe it’s not working consistently. Submitted log 595643
I am so frustrated by the sprinkler controller! This thing is HELL TERRIBLE!!! None of my schedules work! I literally have to wake up at 4:45am to check if it ran. It never runs and I have to use quick run to get it to run. What’s the point of having a smart sprinkler controller if I have to get up and run it myself? I had Rainbird controller and it worked without issues. I am so full of regrets for getting this controller. My flowers died because for a long time it never run and I thought it was working until I noticed my grass were so dry and becoming yellowish.
Support is totally useless! They cannot help you with anything. I also noticed that the App does EVEN KNOW when the controller is offline. If you don’t believe me, unplug the controller from its power source and after open the app. It will tell you it is still connected.
While the power to the device is offline, go to settings on the app and click on Device Info, it will magically show you the wifi connection, the connection bar, the IP address, everything as though it is connected. This when I figured this thing is total crap. So for the most part, it may be offline and the app doesn’t even know. I will see my schedule running from the app (no notification is sent though) but the actual sprinklers don’t work and the controller itself isn’t showing any sign of operation.
As of this writing, I just went down there to manually run it. I am frustrated with this and it is the biggest regret ever!!! especially when support don’t have anything useful to tell you other than send logs that they dont even monitor. I am damn tired of sending stupid logs.
The schedule started running again after not doing anything for 3 days. I didn’t change anything to make it resume. This may be a pattern: 4 days on, 3 days off (even though my schedule is for every day) log # 601293
Does anyone know if powering the controller off and on again gets it back on schedule? Just setting mine up now and wondering if I should use a mechanical timer to briefly turn it off then on again once a day.
I really enjoy wize cams , but due to eternal issues with sprinkler schedule I purchase Orbit B-hyve 8-Zone 79usd , this orbit guys have experience on water timers never failed the schedules .
I bought B-Hyve to replace my Wyze controller and I have never been happier. For the first time in a long time I didn’t have to wake up at 4am to check if the sprinklers are actually running or not. It just works
Hi all, I apologize for the barrage of issues. Our technical team is investigating the cause, but we think the problem might be related to the app update for the AWS crash that happened a short while ago. We are trying to find a solution by next week and apologize again.
Just adding myself to list of people with the same problem. I installed the sprinkler controller a couple of weeks ago and it seemed to work initially. I could do manual runs and the schedules appeared to work.
I went out of town last week/weekend and came home to brown grass and browning flowers/bushes/trees at my house…checked the Wyze app and nothing seemed to have watered per my schedules.
Just started trouble shooting after running my sprinklers manually the past couple of days. Waiting to see if schedules work again tomorrow after power cycling.
Add me to the list of affected users. Looking at the calendar, it appears to have stopped working on 20 May. Oddly, it does seem to have run on May 26 & 30, but nothing through 10 June. The zones all show 0 soil moisture. I see it scheduled to run on every upcoming day for the next 10 days, but it doesn’t run.
I’m also not getting any notifications like I use to. Anyone else? I did the unplug/re-plug today and it ran, but no start or stop notifications.
I installed mine on May 23 and so far has been running to schedule. I have not turned on the Plus features, or the offline schedules. I do not have any sensors installed. So basically the absolute minimum features, and I have not yet experienced the issue with a zone immediately turning off when running on a schedule.
Thanks, going to try that now. I went back and looked through the run history and the only schedule that ever ran was the smart schedule (I got the free year of sprinkler Plus). I had deleted it but none of the fixed schedules ever ran.
Also, I just tested using a Rule to trigger the sprinkler zone and that…nevermind, rules don’t work either…
My controller is going on and feline by itself. We had a neighbor reset it once. It sez that it will run two weeks of the last program set but I have no confirmation. We are 110 this week as well. No room for error.
