Cannot Log Into Wyzecam Account With Older IPhones?

Unfortunately, I don’t know the answers to any of your questions. I only use my iPhones and iPad for backup testing. I use 2FA, but don’t use mail/text for authentication. I use an Android authenticator app that generates a code. I’m pretty sure the way Wyze has recently boosted the app’s security, you’ll get logged off after some period of time regardless if you use 2FA or disable it. But I think with 2FA disabled, you just need to reenter your username and password when it auto-logs you off. Enabling 2FA is recommended to help prevent unauthorized use/access to your cams and prevent bad actors from brute-force determining your password and changing it unbeknownst to you. App version 3.6.5 (5) is not the latest, it came out on July 17, 2025. It is supposedly not recommended for iOS 15.8.5. Hopefully some iOS-savvy users will chime in here with some better help.

Well that is the latest IOS that Iphone 7 can use. It is IOS 15.8.3. I think that 3.6.5 (5) is the latest version of wyzecam that person could download on their iPhone?

So wyzecam just automatically enabled 2 factor authorization for that account then? But why didn’t that happen to my account ever then?

Well the thing is I don’t want their account to keep getting logged out every 90 days since I have to help out with it. So fine to just turn off 2 factor authorization then for them?

Yes, Wyze enabled 2FA by default a few years ago. You’re welcome to disable it. Please read the Getting Started Guide. Most of your questions are probably answered on those pages.
