Wondering since wyze does not have a solar panel to connect to there pro door bell.
Can i cut the connector off the solar panel and hard wire it to the back of the Pro Doorbell?
If so what wires do I hook to the two terminals back of the doorbell?
I wouldn’t expect this to work in the way you describe unless you add an inverter into the circuit, because in its wired configuration the Video Doorbell Pro will accept 16-24 V AC ⏦ from a regular wired doorbell transformer, and the Battery Cam Solar Panel is rated with a 5 V DC ⎓ output. I’m not an electrician, but that seems like an incompatibility on its face.
It’s an interesting question, though, and now I’m curious to see if someone else has done something like this. If so, then I’ll be happy to be wrong and learn something!
