Camera wired to lamp socket works fine But the Bulb for stoop does not stay on.
What can you share about your Lamp Socket v2’s settings, and what behavior are you expecting or trying to achieve?
The light bulb connected to my lamp socket light used to stay on all night till dusk. The only way I get the light to stay on now is if I flip the power switch to the light on and off a couple of times, but it goes off after a few seconds this light used to stay on all night long. The camera works. That’s not the issue. It’s the bulb that’s connected to my outside light that won’t stay on and the bulb is good like I said it works when I flip the power switch to that lamp socket outside and the camera always works. It’s just the night light bulb does not stay on all night like it used to so now it’s pitch dark on my stoop.
I’ll refer back to my original question, because I haven’t seen anything about settings in your posts. Specifically, for the Cam that has the socket set as an accessory, I wonder how you have that’s Cam’s Settings ➜ Accessories ➜ Lamp Socket v2 configured. For what you’re trying to do, you probably want to enable Ambient Light and set an appropriate schedule for that.
I’m having the same problem with multiple v3 cams and v1 sockets, all started at the exact same time so this is not specific to one particular device, it seems like this is a software/firmware bug.

For the last few days the lights are no longer working on the “sunrise/sunset” option for triggering the bulb on and off. In fact, they’re all constantly cycling the lights on and off all night long (I have a big list of notifications from them doing so and the cams capturing it as motion). Manually setting a custom automation to trigger the lights on/off at specific times instead of sunrise/sunset is not working either, the automation is seemingly ignored entirely if it’s set up.
Additionally, the socket accessory keeps getting dropped from all of the cams on the app entirely. If I fully power cycle the system, the sockets show as accessories for a minute or so and I can control them manually, however shortly after they again drop completely. Selecting the cam the “lamp socket” option is gone from the video preview window, and if viewing the accessories it is not listed whatsoever. I have deleted all the devices and re-added and there is zero difference in this behavior once they’re set up again. The cycle just repeats itself. I have cleared app cache/data and uninstalled/reinstalled and there is zero difference in this behavior.
This is infuriating, it only started within the past few days. I don’t want to wake up to 100 notifications of the lights turning on/off and I’m sure my neighbors just LOVE it…
Still having the same problem… I may have to find a different solution as I’ve resulted in just turning everything off at night which completely defeats the purpose. Having all of my exterior lights turn off and on all night long is not acceptable.
