I also contacted Wyze Support to inform them that the issue persists with both BlueStacks and TinyCam Pro following the firmware update. They have recommended downgrading the firmware on each camera; however, I am not willing to do that. As soon as I receive any further updates from them, I will post an update to the site.
Neither of those apps are Wyze apps, you would need to contact the developer of those apps to find out if and when they will be able to support the new security protocol.
The only thing the new firmware added was that new security protocol, so if you want to use the v4s with software that doesn’t support it, downgrading the firmware shouldn’t be a concern.
This is definitely something out of your hands you have to wait till tiny pro Cam comes up with a fix no way around it unless you downgrade your cameras firmware
I have the same problem my v4 camera stopped working in tinycam when it did an update. Wish I could rollback that update. I have a version 1 and a version 3 still working fine sure would like some help with this.
You can roll back the firmware update. A link to the instructions is near the beginning of this thread.

The solution for now is to manually downgrade your firmware back to the previous version, and disable auto updates. Once Alexey releases the new version, test with one cam for a bit before updating the rest.
Tiny Cam update launched today (It’s in a staged roll out so if you don’t see it today, it should be available to everybody by tomorrow)
If it’s still not working for you after the update, the problem is probably that you are using a 32-bit OS, and those are apparently no longer compatible with Wyze cams.

Anyone have a link to an older firmware for V4 cameras prior to 5.52.9.5332 when they stopped working for Tinycam? I have 14 cameras and they all auto updated… I want to flash them back manually.

If backpedaling to an old version of firmware sounds good, don’t get too excited. My V4 installed a new update today and it was a waste of time. The new one, 4.52.9.6119, did nothing I can tell other than waste some time installing it. BlueStacks, TinyCamPro and Wyze app running in Bluestacks all act exactly like they did before the update. The only thing my v4 works in is Wyze app in real Android, not an emulatorl
The new update is not what you need. If you want it to work with any 3rd party app other than the latest tiny cam pro, you need to downgrade to the older version before they added the new enhanced security.
Thanks, but my fear is that 5332 changed v4 so that the old firmware won’t work. But even though the new TinyCam Pro might make v4 work again, it still doesn’t work in anything else but the phone version of Wyze app. It still doesn’t work in Bluestacks > Wyze app. Unless they have put a new version of that in Play Store.
I have taken down all my cameras, both v3 and v4 and am setting them all up in IoT Network to stop all the drifting around from mesh node to mesh node. That must be part of the dropouts in TinyCam Pro and others.
I did have drop out problems with a regular router but it is worse in mesh. Where do you get a version of TinyCam Pro newer than 17.4.2? I find TinyCam Monitor in Play Store but I own TinyCam Pro and need an update for it. If I search for newest version of TinyCam Pro what comes up in a browser is TinyCam Monitor Pro for $3.95. Do I need to buy that and replace TinyCam Pro?
Firmware doesn’t modify the camera permanently, you can downgrade, many others did while waiting for Tiny Cam to release an update. You’ll need to go back 2 or 3 versions, before the ones that say “requires app version x to work”.
As far as the 3rd party apps, you need to talk to them. Wyze does not maintain those.
Yes, with a mesh setup you want to lock any “fixed in place” devices to the closest node. However if you’re having devices roam frequently, you have too much wifi/too many nodes. More is not always better.
I have only 3 mesh nodes TP-Link x55 to cover an area 40 x 78 feet.

40x78 would be one or maybe two APs (nodes) including the main one typically. One of the symptoms of having too much coverage is things roaming between APs a lot, especially things that aren’t moving.
But if you need 3 due to number of devices etc, you can reduce the power level of the 3 to reduce the overlap between the nodes.
I’m not a user of Tiny Cam but I know the pro version is paid. If you already have Pro I’m not sure if the upgrade is free or not. They have a reddit forum, may want to have a look in there.
If you downgrade the firmware to the ones from before the app update to 3.9 was required, then it should work with all those 3rd party apps again. I believe you can continue using the latest Wyze app, but you’ll lose some of the improvements the firmware made regarding SD cards and long connection times on some cams. Keep in mind this should be a temporary solution, you want the security improvements and you don’t want to get too far behind, so hopefully those apps will get updated (or RTSP for the v4 will be released soon).
On your v3s, you can look into using RTSP now that it is supported on those, that opens up a lot more options. Hopefully the v4 will have it sometime soon.
