It does, and I suspect that prompt resets every day or so. That’s what I believe I’ve experienced, anyway, but that’s my own fault for not checking the “Don’t ask me again” box. 
jfc if the tinycam dev is now a wyze employee then i guess we can kiss this functionality goodbye because if they are working for a garbage company then that explains why the app seems neglected as of late. oh well, just like anything these days that half-arsed worth a damn, it was nice while it lasted. everything is broken everywhere so why wouldnt this be
They’ve worked for Wyze for quite a while now, and Tiny Cam has continued to be updated and supported, which I think is a testament to Wyze. But if you’re just here to troll there’s not really any point trying to convince you of anything.
Best I can tell Dave is the V4 cameras no longer use blue tooth. I did get that 2.5 app on the A13 phone but the app and camera never talked to each other.

Cam Pan v4 uses Bluetooth for initial in-app setup and then can use 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi once it’s connected to your LAN. It cannot be used with the older app version you’re using on your 32-bit Android phone.
Cam v4 firmware version 4.52.9.3415 works well with Wyze Android app version 2.50.9 (512).
I’m using (non-Pan) Cam v4 with 4.52.9.4188 firmware and Android app v2.50.9.512, and that does seem to work well, but what @mike46 has been describing is experience with Cam Pan v4, which I have never seen work with a pre-v3.7.0.695 production app.

Correction: If I try to play an event from the Events tab for a Cam v4, I consistently see a “Error (code 09): Video Player Error.” message, so that’s an apparent problem when using newer firmware and an older app. I can view the same event from the Cam v4’s “RECENT EVENTS” section on its Live Stream screen. I have not attempted flashing any older firmware to see which version might correct this.

Yep, none of the latest models will work. I think it has something to do with new security architecture (VerifiedView).
Could be related to VerifiedView, and I think that’s probably part of why even older Cams stop working with older apps once they receive newer firmware. In the case of newer Cams, though (I’m thinking of things released just last year), I imagine the pre-v3 apps just don’t have the code modules or plugins necessary to run the newer Cams because that wasn’t developed and included at the time those older apps were released.
Back on tinyCam subject… has anyone heard a status update from Alexey (tinyCam dev)?

There is nothing in the reddit section from him, just one thread someone started noting the issue and the thread is mostly everyone else chiming in “same here” (including me) and resolution advice such as firmware flashing, nothing more substantial than that so far.
Unless I missed it, I didn’t see anything on the tinycam web page under “FAQ” or “Help & Support.”
Under “Help & Support” he has his Gmail address listed as the support email. I’ve been contemplating whether I should just send him something there and just ask point-blank if there is a fix for this either planned or in progress and if so, if there is a time-frame to expect a resolution.
It did kind of concern me that he removed the v4 completely off the list of supported Wyze devices on the tinycam website. If it was still listed but said something like “Wyze Cam v4 (temporarily unsupported, fix pending)” that would make me feel better than the complete removal of it from the supported devices list, which seems more permanent. But that’s just me, maybe I’m overthinking it.
I sent him an email regarding the V4 Firmware update and how it broke the feed in Tiny Cam Pro, but I did not receive any response.
Someone may want to ask on reddit or him directly if they are going to be able to work with VerifiedView or not.
However it may be that this is currently a touchy subject and they can’t yet answer….
If the answer is no, then it will never work, at least not if/until RTSP/S is supported by Wyze firmware, and details on that are still hazy.
I suspect that’s probably the answer. I don’t recall seeing anyone in the recent RTSP testing topics in Beta and Wyze News specifically mentioning using these streams from Cam v3 or Cam Pan v3 in tinyCam Monitor, but I would expect something like that to work. Once the RTSP-capable firmware is available for Cam v4, then that’s the option I’d probably investigate if I used tinyCam regularly, at least unless/until the developer provides an app update.

Looking at RTSP BETA RELEASE FOR v3 and Pan v3! again, it appears that the users who reported attempting RTSP streams of Wyze Cams with the beta firmware in tinyCam Monitor didn’t have any success. 
I’m thinking that VerifiedView and new security protocols starting to be implemented around the same time that they look to be resurrecting RTSP support (and hopefully RTSPS) may not be a coincidence. Remove access to the wyze servers and API to increase security, but still offer an option to satisfy that user base.
The user base that wants to stream their cameras outside of the Wyze app is definitely there. In my case, for example, I have Firesticks in multiple rooms where I stream my cameras using TinyCam Pro.
When the V4 update made this impossible, I immediately rolled back. I also returned my new Wyze Duo Doorbell and stuck with my (admittedly glitchy) Doorbell V1 once I realized the Duo could not be viewed in TinyCam.
My concern is this: if RTSP is Wyze’s solution going forward, what happens to users with older cameras like the V2s? Wyze has already stated that RTSP will only be enabled on newer cameras. It’s important to me that all of my cameras are viewable through the same system…..not just some of them. Tha ’s why I returned my Duo Doorbelll….

I would guess the v3 will probably be the earliest camera to get RTSP support just based on their statement, but that’s just a guess on my part. But given how much better the v4 is than the v2, and the fact that it goes on sale pretty cheap from time to time (got mine for under $20), I also wouldn’t be too upset having to replace some v2s, unless you have a ton. I even think it is far superior to the v3, with the only benefit of the v3 is having Cam Plus Lite if you’re grandfathered in. I even liked the OG better than the v3 and that one has gone as low as $10, though will be interesting to see if that one ends up getting RTSP or not, I suspect probably not.
On my fire stick I just use alexa to view them occasionally (and that was just more for playing around, but it could come in handy some day). The usefulness of tiny cam isn’t to be ignored, but if RTSP is supported by most of the cameras, that will actually be even more useful, and more secure for you than letting a 3rd party app have access to your wyze account.
That makes sense, and I agree that RTSP would be a net positive overall.
What I’m still trying to understand is the practical side of it on a Fire TV setup. Today, TinyCam Pro is what lets me view all of my cameras in one place on my Firesticks, with multi-cam views, quick access, etc.
If/when RTSP is enabled (even if only on some Wyze models), what app or method would you envision using on Firestick to replicate that experience?

Alexa viewing works in a pinch, but it’s not really comparable to having a dedicated live-view dashboard like TinyCam. I’m trying to understand what the intended or realistic replacement workflow would be once RTSP is in play.
Good day folks, I want to say thank you to all of you who have posted regaurding my issue and the Samsung A13 phone compatibilty.
The user of that phone may in the future upgrade but for now standing pat.. I invested several hours in installing, setup and the trouble shooting this and had enough. The unit is on it’s way back to Amazon and who knows maybe try another later on.

Nah I only use it for one cam at a time, like I said mostly just to play with it. I have cast my phone screen to the TV before with a cam group and 4 cams which worked also, but this isn’t something I do much and I know a lot of people use Tiny Cam for that purpose (and also to be able to have more than 4 cams on the screen at a time since that’s the limit for the wyze app).
I can’t recall if Tiny Cam supports RTSP or not or if they might add it, so it may still be a viable option. But there are various other apps available that do (not sure which, if any, will run on fire stick). It just isn’t a big use case for me so not something I’ve done much research on.
