SD and 2K are broken. What’s going on with this?
First guess would be crappy WiFi signal resulting in only the low bandwidth able to get through.
I have the camera inside on a Mesh network, and near one of the APs.
In addition, plenty of 4K TVs in the house have no trouble streaming 4K
I just bought the 2 Wyze Cam V3 Pros and the most I am getting is 360p. I bought these to replace my Piper cameras (Piper just shutdown their service on 3/15/2024). I have a mesh network and none of my other cameras are showing such poor resolution. I have Ring, Blink, and Canary cameras. I also have a Wyze camera that bought about 2-3 years ago. Very good resolution. I may return these and spend the extra money and get either Blink or Ring cams.
I also have this issue with both of my Wyze Cam v3 Pro’s streaming quality always defaulting to 360p and not remembering the setting, regardless of what I set.
From what I’ve read around online, stream quality issues seem to be common with the v3 Pro’s, so you’re not alone.
Like other posts, I don’t have the issue with any of my Wyze Cam v3 (non-Pro) or Wyze Cam v2’s either.
I’ve found no solution or heard of any official fix for this so far. Hopefully a future firmware update may be able to fix it?
Before the Mesh Network issue was brought up here, I had contacted support about the issue.
They had no explanation on why camera was failing except for 360p and suggested there was something wrong with the camera and wanted to do a return on it.
This tells me Wyze has no clue, and does not care about this issue as by even a lack of response on the subject of this.
