Cam Unlimited not recording full events

I have tried everything I can think of and clicked on every tab to make cam unlimited record longer than 12 seconds. What am I missing?

Welcome to the Forum, @delidragon99!

A more detailed description of you’re problem and what you’re trying to accomplish might help others in the community to provide assistance. For instance, what camera(s) are you using and what settings have you attempted to change?

I’ve got a variety: OGs, Pan V3, Flood V2, Battery Cam Pro, Outdoor. I thought Cam Unlimited was going to record longer than 12 seconds, but none of them record longer than that.

I have the same problem. I have Cam Unlimited as well (annual), but to cannot find in the app where I can adjust the event recording to longer than 12 seconds on my Cam OG.

There is no setting in the app to do that. I think you should log in to my.wyze.com > go to Account then services and see if your cameras are really assigned to Unlimited. I know the cameras usually get added automatically to unlimited but “things happen” with WYZE.

Getting back to this one, with cameras attached to a Cam Unlimited plan (including Cam OG) that’s managed as a “Web subscription” (not via the app, so I’m not dealing with Apple or Google as an intermediary), I’m seeing all kinds of events longer than 12 seconds. In fact, with one Cam OG pointed at an area that can see continuous motion for an extended period of time, I see back-to-back-to-back 5-minute events for a while.

I think checking camera assignments is a good idea, and I think the app shows assigned/subscribed cameras with a shield overlay on each camera icon on the Favorites or Devices tab or the camera’s Live Stream screen, so that should provide a quick check.

I have that same problem my detection zone doesn’t work and I can’t see certain events so I can alert the police department that is investigating a break in my house

I’m having issues where I had to activate motion tagging to ensure I wasn’t getting cut short due to non movement. I have confirmed the cameras settings are set to give minutes of recording time and are on the CPU plan. I’m still getting really short events. I didn’t have this issue before. It seems like there has been a change to reduce cloud recording. The setting where if movenent isn’t detected it stops recording may be culprit, we should have a minimum recording time , period. Hence why I activated motion tagging, to prove it’s getting cut short, but it still cuts the video when the subject is still moving. It’s frustrating to say the least. Also, it’s not giving the pre-record time included in the cloud event. Some events are longer, I got up to 30 seconds and there was a long time between movement. But mostly my recordings are getting cut short. What’s going on here? Also, maybe able to report (share) this issue to wyze with some description in the app and not just AI events.
