That’s true for Cam Ultimate, maybe Cam Plus, too. However, if you click the menu button at the right corner, you get a display to manage Cam Plus Lite.
I understand that this is the case for Cam Unlimited and other current plans, and @jsuvman demonstrated that it’s pretty much the opposite with Cam Plus Lite, at least in some cases (i.e., the existing Cam Plus Lite subscription wasn’t available for management within Wyze Web Portal but could be managed in the app). What I’m saying is that I think Wyze should create a more unified experience so that users could see and manage their existing plans via the app or the Web Portal—whichever is most convenient to the user at a given time.
This isn’t the only place there’s a disconnect. Last November I learned that it was possible to buy Chime Controller via the app even though it wasn’t showing up within the Wyze Shop on their Web site. I’m just saying that if Wyze would provide a more consistent experience regardless of a user’s platform choice, then that would seem like a good way to “be friends with users”. That would also seem be a way to avoid the kind of problem that started this topic.
Strangely, even though I used to be on Cam Plus Lite, now I don’t see it under my app’s Account > Services page anymore. Am I the only one?
At one point I did upgrade to Cam Plus unlimited, but now I really need Cam Plus Lite’s cooldown so my chime won’t ring constantly.
I suppose I can go back to my mailbox’s YoLink motion sensor + Wyze plug + Amazon echo solution but I’d rather not if possible.
Unfortunately due to some stupid decision at Wyze, you can’t switch to Cam Lite until your subscription to Cam Plus Unlimited expires. You can’t have both at the same time. I also hope that when you signed in for Cam Plus Unlimited you didn’t cancel Cam Lite, once you do that there is no way to get it back.
Make sure you are checking through the web portal and your through the app ![]()
Try logging into the Wyze Web Site and see if Cam Plus Lite is showing up there.
I have a YoLink motion sensor in my mailbox which announces delivery via a YoLink speaker hub. I also trigger a Wyze cam short video via IFTTT.
In the app select “account” then “services.” In services select the “hamburger” icon in the top right corner. If you still have " Cam Plus Lite" service it would show here. If so, select the “ellipsis” and then “Manage Camera.” It will show what cameras you have and if they are assigned to a service. Only cameras not assigned to a service can be selected. If the camera you want to assign is already assigned to a service you will need to remove it from that service first. Go back to " Services" and select that service to see the cameras and deselect the one(s) you want to move to the other service.
Yes I have a YoLink motion sensor inside my mailbox, and automation to trigger a Pan 3 watching the street to reset to the mailbox and upload a video if one is not already uploaded.
Interestingly, when I login to the web site the Services tab fails to load anything, from macOS or iOS, and I can only see my Cam Plus subscription from the app. And @homanfamkan I don’t get that hamburger icon unfortunately… Just blank.
@habib I did let my Unlimited expire and recently started a V4 on a Cam Plus, but realized it would trigger my Wyze chime too often. Sigh. Now I want my Cam Plus Lite back.
Has anyone used automation to setup your own cooldown period?
See those 3 dots (or ellipsis)? That’s probably a stand-in for the menu selection.
Yes clicking there pulls up the Manage Subscription menu, but clicking that gives me this popup… Maybe it’s different on Android, as I’m on iPhone.
When you select the ellipses do you get a pop-up menu “Manage Cameras” or “Manage Subscriptions” to select from? Doesn’t matter if iOS or Android as I’ve checked on both. For subscription it will redirect to the website if you select “Go.” But cameras should give you a list of cameras associated with your account.
If you don’t have the hamburger in the top right Corning then you probably no longer have the “Lite” subscription. I don’t think that is an option to subscribe to anymore. I know with pan cam v3 and cam v4 they no longer support “Lite” as Wyze wants you to subscribe to a paid service.
I don’t have unlimited, so that might be why I’m seeing different menu items. Maybe with unlimited the cameras are automatically assigned to the service?
I wonder since you have an active Cam Plus account if your Cam Plus Lite might still be active but hidden until Cam Plus expires.
I remember that was an issue before but I thought that was fixed. Anyway I’ve let my Unlimited expire so all I have is a Cam Plus trial on the V4 I bought.
I had no issues loading my Wyze services last year before I started this Cam Plus trial so yeah I suspect that’s the culprit. Weird.
When I try to load my services under my.wyze.com it just keeps trying to load and nothing comes up. The Payment and Billing history tabs work fine though.
Yes, all cameras are automatically added, when you’re on Cam Plus Unlimited. There was a discussion about this a while ago.
Have you tried using a different browser? I can see My Services using Safari on an iPad Pro.
Here is one of those threads.
I have a feeling that at some point in the past you inadvertently cancelled Cam Lite. Wyze makes it so “easy” to do that.
Yes. And long ago they sent me an email to that I had to accept to keep Cam Plus Lite.
And as you also know, Cam Plus Lite is only compatible with a few cameras. Almost every camera after V2 (with the exception of the Indoor V3) are not compatible with Cam Plus Lite.
And my Cam Plus lite, as mentioned, only shows up in the app and not the website. Apparently you have to also have some cameras on a paid plan in order for it to also show on the website.
