What are people using to shield their cam-pan v3 outside? I get a lot of wind creating events and rain obscuring my lens. Especially in the winter here. I tried one of the highly reviewed universal domed hood deals but the IR glare was so bad it would cause the camera to have serious problems at night. Worked great to keep the camera dry though! Did nothing for wind noise unfortunately.
Almost any rain shield is going to introduce WAY too much IR glare. Leave the IR lights off. If you really need IR illumination, use a separate IR light source. That also keeps bugs that are attracted to the light from being right in front of the camera.
