Cam Pan V3 records to SD card fine - won't record events to cloud

I have the camera set to contiuously record to the SD card. But I would also like to be able to get notifications of events and view events through the app event viewer on my phone. Attached are my settings for this camera. Thank you.

First, I think your app is an older version.

Second, how do you know it isn’t recording to the cloud? Do you see button, “Recent Events” at the bottom of the pan cam’s live view?

P2788deal, Thanks for the reply. Yes the button is there. No events. This my front door. I go in and out of it seveal times a day.

Not sure if it’d help but you can try clearing the app cache. And reboot the camera if you haven’t lately.

I am sorry this is happening. Can you let me know what app version you are using and what firmware version is on the camera?

I had the same issue with my driveway V4 yesterday and today. I turned off event recording yesterday about 9:30 Am and turned back on about 5:00PM and set it for smart detections only. When I checked events this morning I saw that the last recording cloud event was at 9:30 AM. yesterday ? I have other cams with a similar view of the same area and the showed events. Today I tapped the reset services tab on the app, no luck, turned off/on cam from the app, no luck, restarted from the app, no luck, removed power from cam and turned it back on, no luck. I changed the cam from smart detections to all motion, jumped around in front off the cam no luck.
Did a factory reset on the cam and it worked but it was still missing events directly in front of the cam and was skipping 3 minutes in time..
I took the cam down, deleted it from the app and added again as new again and it was still acting weird. I restarted my modem and router and all is back to normal. :face_with_bags_under_eyes:

I am using iOS 18.4, WYZE iOS app 3.4.0 (1)

Jason J. Thanks for the help.
FW 4.50.5.1318 it says it’s up-to-date.
Can you tell me where I can find the app version? Thanks.

Issue has been resolved.

The camera is in a very difficult place to reach so powering off and on is challenging.

  1. Updated App. No change.
  2. Restarted Services. No change.
  3. Rstarted camera from app. BINGO!

Thank you all for your help and assistance.

While not typically necessary, I have all my cams reboot via automation once a week. This is especially helpful with the Pan cams as it re-centers it (they tend to creep off center over time).

For future reference, you should be able to find this from the Home screen by navigating to  Account âžś About. That’s the in-app location for the Android app, anyway, and I’d expect the iOS app to have a similar path.
