Cam Pan v3: How to limit panning

I have mounted my cam pan v3 on a tree outdoor. But I find the. Camera constantly panning due to small bugs flying around. I can change the detection sensitivity. It’s already at 45. Going too low may not detect people moving around. Is there a way to limit panning only to people, per or vehucle movement?

Unfortunately there is no way. The detection zone, detection sensitivity, etc are only for logging events, they do not impact the panning.

Disabling the IR LEDs and using an external IR illuminator mounted away from the camera will significantly reduce the chasing bugs/raindrops/etc.

The only way to limit panning is use pan/scan with waypoints and disable track motion, but obviously that is not the same thing as motion tracking and may not fit your needs.

Direction/Motion Limits For Wyze Cam Pan Tracking

Our motion tracking is not quite as accurate as we would like and we’re working on that. In the meantime, adding direction limits to Wyze Cam Pan will help prevent the camera from overshooting and getting focused on an area that the owner doesn’t care about watching (or would rather not prioritize). This would also add the ability to prevent Wyze Cam Pan from looking at televisions or areas of the room considered to be more private (like the bed area in a bedroom). Best, WyzeGwendolyn

Track Only AI Motion For Cam Pan V1, V2, and V3

The track motion feature of the cam-pan-v3 is especially a problem because this camera is likely to be mounted outside. Things like rain, snow, leaves, trees, etc. are much more likely to not only trigger motion events (see other wishlist items for the need for detection zones for each waypoint), but to distract the camera’s motion tracking. A great feature for cam plus subscribers would be track only AI Motion. That way a swaying tree branch is a lot less likely to attract my camera’s attenti…
