I put in 2 Wyze Pan Cam 3 and seriously all day long, all they do is Look up at the Trees with Motion Detection. They are litterly looking up at the Sky and won’t look at my yard where I need them to. I have setup the Scanning points, but need them to Detect Motion, but NOT LOOK AT THE CLOUDS.
WYZE, We need Panning Limits for these Cameras.
Disable “Track Motion” when it’s windy out. These are cheap sub $35 cameras, you can’t expect them to be smart enough to distinguish between the wind and someone shaking the tree limbs.
Apparently that’s been requested in a Wishlist topic:
Head over there and vote for it!
Yep as mentioned, give the “pan limits” a vote, but I honestly suspect we might see that in a future version of the camera and not the v3.
Right now there is no way to limit motion tracking, even the detection zone has no impact on it. If you have a lot of trees that tend to blow in the wind, you may want to use pan/scan with motion tracking disabled instead, that will not track motion, just scan a whole area.
Setting your camera’s “home” position differently might help too, try to get some of the worst offending trees out of view, but obviously depending on your situation that may not be possible.
