I’m pretty fed up with Wyze. I have to setup and climb a ladder to manually reset my Wyze Cam Outdoor cameras and the base station at least once a month ever since I purchased these cams (I think it was about 2-3 years ago?). This is untenable.
There’s also no notifications that the cams stopped working / lost connection.
Yes, all my firmware is up to date. Yes, my base station is near my cams.
Is there anything I can do as a last-ditch-effort to not trash this system and go elsewhere?
My Base is 3 years and 9 months old, connected via ethernet to the router and it goes off line maybe 3 times a year. I have the base plugged into a KASA smart plug which lets me power cycle the base from my phone. I also have four WCO v1 cams and they will all connect back to the base after the base is back up with a solid blue light, no ladders involved. Three of the cams will connect almost immediately but the fourth one may take up to four or five minutes.
Are you using the base connected via ethernet or wifi?
