What is the purpose of cache file?
Should I delete cache file at anytime?
Cache is temporary data that helps with the loading speed of an app. So it can store files like images, etc that will help the app to load things faster so that it doesn’t have to download them fresh every single time. This helps make everything you experience load a lot faster.
To give an example from another app, Spotify might “cache” your most frequently used playlists so it doesn’t have to load the full song lists from the cloud every single time you open them.
Similarly, Wyze will store thumbnail images, and some other common settings in the app so things will load faster.
If you ever find the app acting weird, try clearing the cache to force it to pull everything fresh.
