Bulbs won't stay connected

I have old and new white bulbs, and color. I have to keep re connecting them.

  1. All have the most current firmware.
  2. Small duplex so everything is close to the router one is literally 3’ away.
  3. Cache has been cleared several times.
  4. Router has been reset several times.
  5. The only ones I haven’t had problems with are the 2 white bulbs I bought this year.
  6. 1 color bulb and 1 white bulb will not connect to the app and the color one is in the same room as the router.
  7. I have several tablets and my cell, does not matter which device I use same problem.
    Very technical person been building computers for over 4 decades I’m a geek an audiophile and a videophile, I use the latest technology, I have been tech support for Hewlett-Packard, Google, I T support various companies.
    This issue is driving me nuts…

You don’t mention what router you have. Also, split or single SSID for 2.4gHz and 5gHz? Did the problem just start?
