Brand new Wireless Cam Base Station Flashing Blue

No idea if this is the thread I need to start, but here it goes.
Just purchased wireless cam with base station. I’m trying to connect the base station to my modem/router and it just flashes blue. I tried talking to tech support and she kept referencing what network my phone is on? I tried to explain to her that my phone doesn’t even enter the picture yet. That the base station is connected by WIRE to my modem. It didn’t seem to matter to her.
Yes…I’ve tried different ethernet cables as well as plugging it into a port that I know works.

What am I doing wrong? I really want this to work, but I’m at the point where I’m gonna return it and invest in a Google one that works directly with my Google Home.

Have you set it up in the app yet? You need to go through the app setup before it will start working properly. In the app, hit the plus in the upper left > add device > base station

No [kidding]…
I know what steps to take but it doesn’t help me if the base station only blinks blue!
