I recently got a battery powered camera and inserted a 32mb SD cd. I am not certain if it was automatically formatted or that was something that I had to do manually. The camera has not recorded anything at all.

Are you using the Battery Powered WYZE Cam Outdoor Version 2 as your post is tagged?
The camera will not record to the SD card unless you set it for Scheduled event recording and I recommend using Scheduled event recording for MOTION ONLY as Continuous recording will kill the battery.
Do you have Cam Plus or Cam Plus Lite assigned to the camera?
I think you should go here and read about Scheduled recording if you want to record to the SD in the cam.
From the products offered, I must have the Battery Cam Pro. Do your instructions apply to that model as well? I would have had an initial Cam Plus trial but that has expired now.
I find no means of checking or changing the WIFI network on the Battery Cam Pro.
I do not have that camera but the Wi-Fi signal information for all my different cams is in the same place. Open the camera to live tap the gear icon top right to open settings. Scroll up until you see device info and tap that.

Wi-Fi information on all my cameras is shown like this on WCO, V3 cam and V3 Pro cams.
Yes, I have what you illustrated, what I am looking for is the Network that it is hooked up to. I wanted to try the 5.GHz. Nowhere do I see which one the camera is linked to?
2.4 GHz vs. 5 GHz: Which frequency should you choose? A 2.4 GHz connection travels farther at lower speeds, while 5 GHz frequencies provide faster speeds at shorter range. Your choice of 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz will depend on where and how you use your WiFi connection most.
I too am having issues with the memory card. Seems to lose the card after formatting. It shows the card is inserted, allows me to format it. When it goes back to camera mode, it says that no memory card is inserted… I have deleted the camera and reset it up, it did the same thing…
My network has two Different SSID one for the 2.4 network and one for the 5.0 network. Since all my cams can only connect to the 2.4 it is easy for me. If your network only has one SSID for both 2.4 and 5.0 I don’t know how to tell unless you turn one of bands off on the router and see if the cam dies. Your device/phone needs to be on the 5.0 if you want to set up the cam on 5.0 I think?
I have a different question today. I have 5 cameras that I can view on my Echo 8. I also have this new outside battery operated camera that is not showing up. My memory is telling me that previously I performed a function and placed it on the 5 cameras that are available on the Echo 8. The problem is I don’t recall what that procedure was. Am I imagining something that is not true?
I can’t help you with that issue. I use iOS and only view my cams on my phone or iPad or mirror the iPad to the TV via Roku. I have cam plus on all my cams and can view all the plug in cams on the WYZE Portal
(my.wyze.com), but the four battery cams are not supported on there.
