Does anyone have a workaround for the 12 second event recording limit on the battery cam pro? I purchased the battery cam pro, an SD card, and the Wyze solar panel. My goal was to see if I get continuous recording with the solar panel which I found was not possible. So I reverted to event recording but can’t record locally to my SD card for more than 12 seconds without paying for a monthly subscription. I feel like if we’re going to record locally to the SD card why are we being given the option to record only 12 second events or 24/7? It’s like feast or famine with no option in between. If recording locally, why not give me an option to record one minute? You’re willing to let me record 24 hours a day. If I was using services from the subscription, I’d be happy to pay for it, but I just simply want to record longer to my local SD card. Has anyone found a way around this?
I purchased one of these cameras and just found this out also. I believe this is intentional to force users into purchasing the monthly subscription. They promised SD card recording but only partially delivered. They did the same thing with the V1 wireless outdoor cam, I should have learned my lesson then.
