Battery Cam Pro - charge went from 100% to 10% in hours

I just installed these camera with solar panels to keep charged. Last night they went from 100% to 10% in a matter of hours. Was it possible because I left the house and they turned on via Away Mode? Do they only last a few hours when ON? Wow!

Make sure you didn’t tell it to record to the SD card in “Continuous Recording” or it will drain fast.

Watch some of the even videos and see what is causing so many events. Is it watching a high-traffic area? Since it’s a battery camera, it’s meant to watch a location that only has a couple dozen relatively short events per day.

What is your Detection sensitivity setting? If you have it set to maximum (6), consider setting it down one notch to 5. The max setting means the camera only uses the PIR sensor, but number 1-5 means it will use both PIR and Radar so there are fewer false detections.

Also, consider setting a detection zone if you don’t have one. This won’t affect the PIR and Radar triggers, but it will help reduce how much video is recorded when it discovers the motion on the video isn’t within that area.

SD card was not set to Continuous. I use a reduced detection zone. There were not even any events in the log for the last 3 days. It only detects and notify’s from sunset to sunrise, when there is less activity anyway. Those are off in daylight except when I am away.

I have the same issue. my battery drains after 3 days, I’ve tried different batteries and none of them last more than couple of days, and I do not get many recording, maybe 2 a day
