My Wyze Cam Outdoor Base Station stopped working about a month ago (solid yellow light; couldn’t connect to the cameras or to the internet). After some back-and-forth, Wyze Tech Support gave me a $10 Wyze gift card for my trouble. I was perfectly happy with this solution–the base station came as par…

[image] lhhf: used starter bundle Used for a Wyze item is a gamble.

So is Wyze getting out of the camera business or what?? Nearly everything out of stock for past few months and the outdoor base station out of stock for at LEAST 10 months!! Unacceptable and looking for alternatives at this point. So much for 2024 as year of the camera.

Just because a four year old item is out of stock doesn’t mean that any company is going out of business. In 2024 Wyze released two cameras, the V4 and Floodlight Cam V2. How many four year old iPhones/iPads can you buy from Apple today?

Stay tuned for the Wyze Week 2024 happenings. I doubt you will find a replacement v1 base station. The only one available in my past searches is the v2 and only as a bundle. I believe it is compatible for v1 cams.

Very disappointed as i also have the doorbell and two other cameras and would like to add more. I have call…

[image] qnrogue: I had to turn it towards a wall because it was really weirding me out. If it not connected to the base it won’t record anything . Just turn the switch off on the back of the cam.

Just an update, my base station hase not been working for 2 years now and they cant provide me with a new one since its been “out of stock” so i decided to do a bit of testing…after putting the base station in my freezer for about 15 min i plugged it back in and wouldn’t you know it works, which tel…

That is interesting. There are multiple explanations and many that may not involve overheating though: Thermal Cycling: Electronic components sometimes benefit from a process called thermal cycling. The sudden change in temperature can cause the expansion and contraction of materials within the de…
