The recording issues you describe make me think of two other topics:
I don’t know what the solution is. I did see an announcement yesterday about a new firmware update for Cam v4, but it doesn’t appear to address the issue you’re describing, so I don’t know if applying that update would be of any benefit.
I see it in the control strip below the viewing pane when I’m looking at a Cam v4’s Live Stream page, but I have to swipe left-to-right on the strip to show it, because it’s all the way on the right, between Album and Turn Off.
If you can’t get to the Timelapse control that way, then I wonder if your app is hosed. Some users have reported problems with the in-place upgrade (I assume you’re using the v3.0 production app), so something to try might be uninstalling the app, rebooting your phone, and re-installing the app (and if it were me I’d reboot the phone again). Otherwise, since you’re an Android user, you can grab a v2.5x app APK from a site like APKMirror or APKPure and load that, because I get the impression that this was working for you in an earlier app version.
