Apple Watch Integration Ideas

Wyze has already expanded the app on Apple, and now provides for the Open/Close Button in the Garage Door part of the app.
I don’t think it would be a huge effort to gain access to the Apple Watch and include the garage door controller.

I agree! If i could have a watch widget to open/close the garage or lock/unlock my deadbolt that would be amazing (android watches as well as apple).
Google does this already for the garage via voice, I want to stay all things Wyze but am quickly turning to competitors.

Wyze app for Apple Watch to control Rules

Can we please get an official Wyze Apple Watch app, that allows us to trigger the Wyze Rules we have created? Thank you so much!!

That would be great.

I installed the Wyze garage door controller about 6 months ago. I immediately requested that Wyze include the ability to activate the garage opener from my Apple Watch. I never even got a response. Probably because they have their own watch.even though there are millions of Apple Watch users out there.

Good luck.

Where/how did you request it?

I think in the Wyze Forum.
My request from 6 months ago showed up in the list of forum items.

Unless you added a request to the wish list section it get no notice.
The Wyze forum, is a user forum. We don’t see Wyze employees answering questions or commenting about posts.

It’s been so long now, I am not sure how I started my request.

Maybe you will have better luck.

I went back and checked. I did use the Wishlist approach. But, obviously, nothing ever happened.

Posted 5 yrs ago! Pretty clear Wyze has no interest. They got their own watch instead, although vastly less useful than the Apple Watch. With only a few hundred votes, it’s telling Wyze this is not something that will translate to more sales. Possibly the lack of support for this is due to many apple users turning away from Wyze in general. Personally, I am checking out other brands, but we are not deep into automation.

I’m definitely another Apple user who hoped for years that Wyze would eventually support Home/HomeKit. I’ve lost that hope and have already moved almost all of my devices over to ones that support HomeKit and, ideally, Matter and Thread.

If Wyze wants to be more than just an entrance to the smart home world, they really need to support protocols that allow people to use their devices on the smart home platform of their choice.

At least add light on/off support. I may not need to watch my camera video on my tiny wrist, but it sure would be easier to control my lights. Don’t make me go buy more expensive, Apple Watch compatible light bulbs.
