Always something

Failed to download a 24 second video from a V4 ? This has never happened before.
Download speed is 540 MB/s on the 5.0 network and 100 MB/s on the 2.4 network.
Tried with both the 3.1 and the 2.50.9 iOS app. It is just this one event that won’t download all others will, even the longer in duration recordings.

I’m surprised that you are surprised after four years being a Wyze customer. When has anything worked 100%

Bummer.

I hope you didn’t start a new trend.

The videos wasn’t important but if I wanted to save it I would either have to record it from the SD playback or take the card out off the cam (Nope) and get it that way.
I’ll get my Engineers ( :raccoon: :raccoon:) to check it out.

Seem to be a lot of complaints with that on the v4.

I’m guessing you mean Mb/s - MB would be very impressive since it isn’t possible, at least not on 2.4

I believe that cam is a single stream 2.4ghz AX so it is theoretically capable of up to around 144Mbit link speed but actual throughput will be capped at around 100Mbit in perfect conditions, realistically probably half that when factoring in interference and distance. But still should be plenty to record off the livestream. Maybe just some bad interference at the time you tried, or a bad spot on the SD card? Is it only doing it for one part of the time line or always?

Funny how Wyze cams drop the ball when you expect them to work…

Something I don’t miss with my new cams…

Wyze = :poop:

You are correct, has happened to me as well once. Can’t reproduce it any longer so I chugged it to fluke.

Waaaah…:sob:

Still have Wyze cans, still pay annual Wyze Cam plus unlimited.

Just like to point out how much I like Wyze😜

Eventually they will all fail, most likely the lenses that eventually suck in water on a water proof camera

Once all have failed and I cancel cam plus unlimited, then I will leave …

But until then too bad :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I guess that is a negative value?

Yes that much is clear

How confident that your new brand won’t have a similar issue? I mean these things are all inexpensive, made in a 3rd world country IOT devices, unless you’ve invested in a high end close circuit system (and those aren’t immune to issues either). If they’re in the sun or exposed to cold, gaskets, grease, seals, glue, etc all dry out and fail eventually.

Very true. Luckily mine should last a while in my environmentally controlled window sill.

The fact that Wyze very well knows of the lens water issue yet don’t just change the lens, they even carried this issue to newer cams, it started with V3

A company that knows of an issue and doesn’t fix is :poop: in my opinion.

Really how many cents are they saving not remedying a cheap part like a lens…

Profit over Reliability is the Wyze model…

I’m at about 18 months with my OGs and PanV3s with no water in the lenses.

But Wyze just buys these cams from other companies, they probably have very little input to the design/parts used.

I was trying to download a completed cloud event from the WYZE/AWS server not off live stream or the SD card, I have no issues with either of those. It is just the one video, (so far).
Yes Mbps *** I just downloaded a 40 second 8.0 Megabyte video without issue from the same camera.

Gotta love cable upload speeds.

If it constantly happens on that same video clip I would guess a corrupt spot on the SD card maybe (or just a bad recording). Or just a glitch in the new app/camera that is making this randomly happen. Others were getting the “empty file not saved” error and there have been other complaints also related to the v4 (or maybe its the 3.x app).

:joy:  Where’s that Eufy outlet store again? And not the one in :mosquito: – you’ve snatched up all the good stuff there already!
