Still having issues. One camera is up and functioning normal, our nursery cam shows that it’s down but I can get a live feed, can’t update firmware or see status. Last camera is still offline despite multiple reboots.
I am on the east coast, in NJ area.
All of my 9 cam’s are back online since yesterday early afternoon.
Events are working again too.
I would suspect anyone on the east coast ( servers) would be back online with Cam’s …events I am not sure if they brought everything back up on the EVents for everyone.
What you DONT want to do, during this outage/ interruption, is to try to update the firmware. you run the risk of Bricking the CAM/Device, if the firmware install dose not go well, download error free.
Wait until everything is back to normal to install any firmware updates.
I’m having issue’s with event recording. It will record for a minute or so then. I have to go back and update the settings. I’m trying to catch my neighbor not picking up his dog poop.
Nope. Mine are still down in NJ
Events are recording but only for the one camera.
Hopefully getting a credit for the downtime!
Have they addressed the issue of cameras turning on by themselves? That’s what happen to me yesterday morning and I’ve just read a news article of users saying they were able to see the footage of cameras not belonging to them so now I’m freaking out.
Mine are not showing at all. Is that what you are seeing or can you see the camera but it states “offline”? I get a blank screen with the option to add camera.
Yes, I am able to unplug it. Reset from within the app does not work.
I would try unplugging it and let it sit for a minute then plug it back in.
Apparently the feeds during the outage were not saved. I was hoping they would be and the probkem would be in the event presentation only. It seems not to ve the case.
Same here no more issues with 9 cameras.
I have tried this as well and all my V3 and Pan Cam V2 are still down.
It seems some have found a factory reset will bring them back. If you have an easily accessible camera you could try it and see if it works for you. You do not need to delete the camera from the app but you will need to go through the setup process again.
Remove any microSD card from the cam, hold the reset button for about 20 seconds (I overshoot just to make sure you hold it long enough) and go through the setup process again. Name it the same as it was and it should retain all your settings.
I did not do any re-sets and even though I had lost all feeds to my BCP, it seems to be working once again…
Well, that is not ideal. Most of them require a ladder and very windy today in my area so I may be out of luck for a couple of days if that is the case. I’ll try the pan camera at least but this is getting fairly aggravating. I have been slowly cycling my v2 for the v3 and have had greater issues with them over the past year. I’m not sure whether to blame the camera itself or the AWS outages but I’m running out of patience on this after using Wyze for 4 years.
@dvaiciunas
Thank you for letting me know it is working again.
@iphotoadrian
I agree it is not anywhere near an ideal solution and I do apologize for that. I am trying to make sure we get everyone back online and at the same time get info to the engineers so that maybe we can make this experience better in the future.
I also understand running out of patience, and I hope we can work at making the experience closer to what should be expected.
Everything seems to be working as it should for myself now. Too bad for the ordeal yesterday but thanks for getting things back to normal. Hoping Wyze can figure out what happened and set a few things in place to try to prevent it from happening again in the future.
I always feel like a jerk when my initial reaction is, “oh good, it’s not just me.” Apologies everyone! Anyway, my Pan v2 is still offline after power cycling (completely unplugging it) the device. I’m going to attempt the master reset in a while unless there’s any updates. Thank you!
Hello can’t get my floodlights to work
