Well stated. I was an early adopter and promoted them fiercely many years ago when the cameras were the primary product. This is NOT the same company they were originally and I’m so done with them now.
This is really bad, cameras disappearing, no access… cyberattack?
I have wifi smart plugs on all of my cameras so that I can reboot any or all of my cameras remotely. I also have one on my cable modem. It’s an unfortunate necessity.
One of my cameras just came back on line by itself. It rebooted automatically. Waiting for one more pan camera to come back. 7:20am PDT.
Wyze seems to have forgotten Canada exists, because downdetector doesn’t show any reports of this issue in any other country… (Edit - not just Canada)
I took the risk of uploading the beta software, and half of my cameras can back online,
How do you upload the beta software if the cameras are offline and can’t be contacted?
Is there any idea when it will come back to normal?
To upload the beta software, open the homepage, click on account, the bottom right logo on your screen, scroll down to " about ", choose from the menu beta software, you do have to follow the instructions, so read carefully

Wyze Didn’t Completely Fix Flaws in Security Cameras for 3 Years
Mine are still recording. It’s just the live feed that’s down I believe.
All my 6 cameras are down and was kicked out of one of my apps needing to log back in.
All cameras down. No devices show at times. Hate to have to change to nest but this is getting just too hard to deal with. No doorbell. Nothing.
MIne are not recording. No events, no notifications. I have no control over them. The ones that are on can’t be turned off, the ones that are off won’t turn on. The ones that are showing offline are just dead.
On some of them I can occasionally view the live feed but only intermittently. Going on over 8 hours now.
This is why I did not choose Wyze for an alarm system. Went with something else and today I received ample confirmation that I made the right choice.
And although I understand that Wyze is not a “real” security system, what’s going on today and what has happened in the past with outages like this is ridiculous.
The cams that was down have came back up and now the others are down, and my app is showing all cams offline but if I click them some work
Well after year and years I’m done with this company. They changed priority a while back, but I have like 24 devices in total, 13 cams, various plugs and some lights. My cams being the most important have been so unreliable for a couple years now. All of my v2 cams just stop having events or local recordings, and the detection zones don’t work. My v3 cams are slightly better but still regularly stop recording events or local, even at my business where it will see 100 people in a day. A camera restart usually fixes it for a day or 2. I’ve started having them auto restart every night at 9pm so they will at least catch stuff in the late hours when the shady stuff happens. I canceled my 2 subscriptions today, and will be flashing 3rd party firmware on my cams. Just wanted to leave this snap I just took that sums up perfectly this company’s priority on the app we rely on for security.
Judging by Wyze’s Complete Non Response to the ‘Error Code 3000’’ Problem which took them many Months to fix, Don’t hold your breath about any announcement.
Thank you for the confirmation, ive been habing issues for the last several hours as well. I do have a question as to why a binch of wi-fi enabled cameras and devices are dependent on a connection to AWS? Why the hell are these not independently working on my local LAN.
I’ve had Wyze for 4yrs and a buddy has had them years before me and we’ve had 0 issues. Today is my first. This is wild
