I have delinked and relinked alexa and it seems like it didn’t help my issue. I heard a while back that some people found that removing their cameras from a group helped with their issue(s). I was looking at that but didn’t find any information on how to do that. I’m wondering if that will help(?).
I haven’t had any issues with Alexa announcing Person Detections on my Echo devices for my Cam Plus Cams.
To create a Group in Alexa, go to Devices and press the plus + in the upper right. If you already have your groups formed, open the group and click Edit. Select the devices to assign to that group.
While you may want to try moving the cam from group to group within Alexa to see if that will help, you may also be able to work around this by creating an Alexa Routine to announce your own custom dialog:

My Ring front door is the only camera that alexas consistently announces. I have a wyze cube and a show 8 that should make the motion announcements. They did at one time but as I previously stated, I’m no longer receiving them. I’m only getting notification on my phone.
I am wanting to remove all cams from my “camera group” to see if that helps. Is that doable or does everything need to be assigned to a group?
I’ll see if I can figure out how to remove a cam from the cam group and also how to set up my own routine (within alexa) to see if that lone cam will make announcements.

When you are discussing moving cams out of groups to try and fix an Alexa Person Announcements issue, this is only within the Alexa App. Not within the Wyze App. Alexa doesn’t have any relationship with Wyze App Cam Groups.
As for Alexa Groups, No, devices are not required to be within Groups. You may not see them in the Devices Tab, but they will be listed at the bottom below grouped cams if you select Cameras.
Can you post a screenshot of what you see in the Alexa app for one of your cameras? Also, can you post a screenshot of your CamPlus assigned cameras from the Wyze App?

I am unfamiliar with this device. It hooks up to your TV. It functions like an echo hockey puck but you can control your TV as well

Ah yes. @R.Good nailed it. A Fire TV Cube, not a Wyze Cube.
In the Amazon Alexa App. Click devices. Find the Group. Select it. Click Edit. All cams within the group will have blue check boxes. Click the blue check box to remove the check and remove it from the group.
Welp, My idea didn’t change a thing. Still no alexa motion announcement. I’m going to attach a new camera to the team and see what that one does.

I set up two new cams. 1 OG and 1 V3. Alexa give notifications on the V3 but not the OG. Now that just doesn’t make sense. Both are identified within Alexa

Alexa is regularly not playing nice. I have OG S, OG T, and V3 and they all announce.
I connected a v2, it connected to alexa but no announcements from that one either. I guess I’ll cry UNCLE and just roll with it. Thanks to all.

Also try removing Cam Plus from a camera and adding Cam Plus Lite. See if you get person detection announcements with just Cam Plus Lite.

When you setup a routine for an announcement and trigger it manually, does it succeed in announcing on your Alexa device? Not on all, and those that is does, announcements are spotty, making this even more confusing.

What will doing this do for me? Will it pinpoint a discrepant area? If I’m paying for plus I want to use it.
If you are creating a Routine with a standard Alexa Announcement and triggering it manually in the Alexa App and it doesn’t announce, that indicates an issue with Alexa. Manually triggering takes the device trigger out of the equation.
The fact that Person Announcements aren’t showing up as a Routine trigger indicates that Alexa isn’t getting the right information from your Wyze Account to verify the cam has Person Detection.
I concur w\ @R.Good. flipping the cam to Cam Plus Lite will give Alexa new cam subscription data and may reset the connection. Flipping it back to Cam Plus may then work. If neither work, there is something wrong with Alexa.
