OK, what is not working? What are you trying to do via Alexa that relates to a camera?
Edit: Ah, you must have an Alexa with a display and are trying to see the video. I don’t have any Alexa devices with a display so was not even thinking that direction. I was trying to figure out what command you were trying to do for a camera via Alexa…
If you are trying to view the V3 cameras with Echo Show then try renaming the camera names in Alexa. I have several V3 cameras and they work fine with my Echo Show 5 (2019 1st gen) and Echo Show 8 (2019 1st gen & 2021 2nd gen).
If you are trying to enable Person Detection trigger with Alexa or Person Notification with Alexa, then I believe Cam Plus or Cam Plus Lite subscription is required.
I just tried and my V3 cam is working fine with Alexa show Wyze south which is my cam name.
Sometimes when this happens. A on/off or reset or restart fixes it for me. Even though it is working in the app.
I usually try reset and restart first as I can do those from the app.
I have a v3 in my office. I just tested both a show 5 and show 8 with Alexa showing the v3 camera. In both tests, within about 8 seconds, I had a streaming camera.
I’m scratching my head why your seeing this only on your V3.
I don’t have a solution but I have seen Alexa do some strange things. Alexa devices shows I have over 70 devices. She does not forget. In reality I have about 40 devices online. I have one device, a show 5, that Alexa constantly shows off line. It’s not. I open the show 5, run a speed test etc.
Final thought. Alexa has been running in our house for at least 7 years(?). From time to time I have wanted to reset her devices list. There is a command to do that but for the life of me I can’t remember/find the command. I do remember a warning that if you do this it takes a while to do.
Ya, command is: Alexa, discover new devices.
It sees my v3’s but when asked to display, it says that the cam ain’t responding.
What firmware are you using?
And, are you using the Non-Pro v3?
