I’ve been having an issue with all 3 of my air purifiers. After the last update, last year my units never worked the same after the update that was pushed.
I have tried the following so far at many times.
Reset the devices WiFi and system. This will work for a few days then drop off and never connect until I reset them again.
I have left them unplugged for weeks. Doesn’t fix it.
Of course, clear cache and redownload app.
The worst problem is they constantly do not work with the app. And the ratings are off as well.
The update was supposed to fix this all. But I never had any issues before it. Solid connections, correct readings.
Now I’m starting to hate them.
Is there anything I can do to fix these or just call and get replacements?
@eagle328 I’m having exactly the same issues with my 3 air purifiers. I have an automation that turns them on when I come home and turns them off when I leave and it’s extremely frustrating that they are constantly disconnecting from wifi and then the automation does not work
I’ve been waiting to see if there would be an update to the firmware but I haven’t seen anything else. Returning stuff is a pita. And I bought a 3rd one and it updated to the same firmware and it acts like my first 2. Now I have 3 not working correctly at the prices we paid for these.
Same issue here. I hadn’t had an issue with my Purifier finding and logging into my wifi that has both 5G and 2.4 ghz. I realized that I am update today and figured that would do it, but negative. I’ve done all the trouble shooting, and resetting etc, but nothing seems to work. I’ve even gone into my wifi and paused the 5G so it was only 2.4 and that still didn’t work. It no longer sees my network, I try to manually enter the network name and pw and that doesn’t work, what’s going on Wyze???!!!
I’ve tried multiple networks. I have 3 networks if needed. 2 I use everyday and another for a back up.
They all connect but lose it a day after. I can reconnect but it doesn’t last long. Very annoying since they were fine before the update firmware. Then the firmware stated that it would stop the disconnecting and other issues. After installation they now have everything the new firmware was supposed to fix.
I have a boat load of cams, alarm and other Wyze devices. None are giving me this issue and I’ve seen very little discussion on them. It also wastes my filters by being on when they shouldn’t. I have other air monitors near them.
Its good to see someone replied with a “workaround” but the forum is LOADED with posts of people having this same issue. Has anyone received feedback from WYZE regarding a true fix or even “were working on it”??
Or are we just stuck with these non functioning units?
Never heard anything back on this. Wyze dropped us here to stay it seems . I’m going to see if I can get these 3 replaced or call the corporate numbers to complain.
I just bought a Wayze Air Purifier about 2 weeks ago. Mine also looses connection about every 2 days. It’s even next to the router. Also, in the App, the data never even changes numbers. Wayze specifically says that the App will display “real time” data. Has anyone else had these problems?
I’ve had three units for about 2 years now, the disconnect issue showed up for me with the release of firmware 1.0.18.0 in May 2024. I’m still using them and they are great except that I need to unplug them to reset the wifi issue once a week or so. Interestingly enough, all three have been stable, no need for a reset, for the last 4-5 weeks. I’ve probably just jinxed it, but here’s to hoping they mysteriously fixed themselves
I tried this on 2 of my units. And it’s keeping connected. One is fine with the number being the same on the app. The other still isn’t correct. I’ll do it again if the other keeps working correctly.
Initiate the Reset: Press and hold the Auto Mode
and Fan Speed buttons on the air purifier until you hear a beep.
Wait: Allow the air purifier to sit for 10 minutes.
• Unplug and Delete: Remove the air purifier from the
power source, and then delete it from the Wyze app if it still appears there.
• Clear App Cache: Clear the cache in the Wyze app.
• Replug and Reconfigure: Plug the air purifier back in
and set it up as a new device within the Wyze app.
I finally connected my purifier through one of my spare Wyze plugs (little workhorses, those things!).
Every time the purifier starts to act up, I just toggle the plug to reset it.
